I just have to share my thoughts on the subject topic- I posted a thread in a while on GameSpot, and you wouldn't believe how many people were complaining on the term noob, finding it offensive, and preferring being called newb instead... all I wanted to do is post a thread that could be helpful to them.
In conclusion: glad to be a noob/newb here. hope to see more of yaall here soon.

1. The threads themselves contain nothing. They are ED2K hashes which can be used with a network client such as Emule or eDonkey. If you're unfamiliar with their working, there are several guides here which will walk you through the processes.

2. Those hashes are from 2002. :blink:

Hey all...just stumbled upon this forum. Been doing the filesharing thing for a few years now.

Started out on Napster i guess, then went through all the standard p2p clients, found out about newsgroups and irc bots...and thats when it really took off for me. Meanwhile i was still on a dial up connection (due to location). It wasn't until about 6 years ago when i got married and moved that i was able to get broadband. Now i use torrents almost exclusively...going to ng's when i need to.
