For the sake of small fingers.
I would never buy one,
got it from my mom since she never uses it.
(inheritance?)

We played the sports thing, my kid loves it since his hands can actually hold the controller, whereas his fingers are too small for keyboard games.

1.Can i play dvds (movies) and or music on it?
2.How do i connect it to the "internets" (i am not wireless)
3. I see there are lots of wii game torrents out there, do i need to burn them in a special way? or normal dvd burn?
4.Some torrents say USA, i am in europa can i use these USA wii game torrents like?

thank you in advance

you don't need a chipped Wii to play homemade games, you can follow the guide yourself.

internet:

The unit can connect to the Internet by utilizing its 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, which is built in, for wireless connections or via a USB-to-Ethernet adaptor for DSL connections.

From the wii home menu...

Go to Wii Options in the lower left.

Click on Wii Settings to the right.

From this first list, click the right arrow.

Now on page 2, click on Internet.

Then click Connection Settings.

Modify any Wii 4.2 & below, aka the simplistic mod

to burn game the Wii people use http://www.imgburn.com/ - its similar to dvd decrypter, its very reliable and free.

media players: http://wiibrew.org/wiki/List_of_homebrew_applications

after its been modded im sure it can play NTSC, i found some PAL games have less problems than NTSC.

Alien5's link to the simplistic mod is highly recommended, very easy to follow.

I had posted a short tutorial a while back here:

http://filesharingtalk.com/vb3/f-guides-and-tutorials-65/t-complete-guide-softmodding-wii-very-easy-simple-instructions-364690

Basically just linked to the guide and added a couple tidbits that I had found throughout my experiences of modding. However, I would recommend trying USB loading though a portable hard drive rather that burning DVD's. The games load much faster than through a portable (and I think due to the limitations of modding burned DVD's may actually be slower than the actual games), its much easier and has far less hassle than burning DVD's, and its much easier to manage your games. Follow the links for USB Loader GX (Nice gui) and WBFS (software to format file system and transfer games) for playing backups through a portable harddrive.
