Seeing how Sunday's my 40th birthday and my wife wants to buy me something (got her right where I want her)I was thinking of upgrading my system a little bit. Thought about adding more ram. Does anyone think it'll help? was looking to add another 2G

specs:

Motherboard: M61SME-S2

Central Processing Unit(CPU): AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+

Running Win7 64 bit

Firstly, Happy Birthday man ;)

Sure I think it'll help. Since your using Win7 X64 you can use up to 8GB on that board but I think you should get a 4gb kit. I can recommend OCZ Gold 4GB (2 x 2GB) (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227199) as it's the cheapest ( Damn Ram prices are going up  The G-skill 4gb kit used to be around $50 or so) The reason I would say to get 4gb at one time is so the ram sticks will be the same and it can run easily in dual channel mode. Do you know what type of ram you have in there now? (Brand/Speed)
