I saw The Sleeping Beauty last night at the Royal Opera House and I'm supposed to be writing a review on it. Sadly, i know nothing about ballet and so i need a little help.
anyone know what it is called when you stand on your tippy toes on one leg, with the other one up high, and have one hand hovering above your head, with the other being used to spin you around by various male ballet people?

Standing on your tippy toes is called en pointe and standing on on leg is an Arabesque
Arabesque en pointe ?
Look familiar?

That's what I admire about Canadian men - they're in touch with their inner girl.
