Does anybody else use this free anti-virus from microsoft ? Did you encounter any problems ?

I've been using it for a few weeks and I really like it. No probs.

I'm also using it since a week now and I didn't have any problems yet.

Free is good but first thing I do is turn Microsoft security features off like Windows Defender , UAC and their firewall . :D


Oops forgot Windows Update , was wondering if you need all that on to run the antivirus ? Sounds like something for the in-laws and granny .

yeah I've used it before it actually worked pretty good for me, i dont use it anymore but while i used it i had no problems I was running it on a virtual pc

@Swift ,you be the judge don't worry about what others say . I'm curious as to how often the Virus definition is updated , do you need to set Auto updates for windows security patches , that sort of thing .

no, not for any particular reason i was just trying it out on a virtual pc so that i could see how good it was so that i could be sure if i recommend it to others. thats all

Automatic update even if my windows updates are disabled . No patch no crack no nothing. I just installed it and windows loves it after all the expresion is : if the shoes fit wear them :D

the new microsoft AntiMalware is really good,its better at detection and removal than Malwarebytes.

With No32 I couldn't send anything trought yahoo messanger also my upload speeds where pretty slow I don't really know if that was the real problem but now it's much better. So I don't think I will move to NOD32 anytime soon
