I'm a complete n00b! when it comes to BT I was just wondering why am I only downloading @ a speed of 3KiB when I have a very fast connection?

Well it usually starts out at 3kps or around that. Usually mine starts out at about that speed, then it works its way up to 150kps and up. Just be patient. At leat you don't have to worry about corupt files, viruses, or fakes with bittorrent. I haven't encounterd one of those things while using BT.



It'll speed up, I guarentee it.

you should dl something while your sleeping i always go to sleep while downloading at when i wake poof its finished so im not sure what my speed is but if you just take a nap nap it'll probally be done! :rolleyes:

yea when im like sittin and chattin it goes liek 1kb or 2kb when i sleep or am at school it goes at a WHOPPING SPEED OF 5KB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

wow that's like double speed, awesome!!!!

@Acid zero have u tried using shadow experimental client? u can set ur upload
rate to like 80% of your max upload that should speed things up...but remeber it
all depends on the amount of seeds and peers that you have

and, yes, sleeping whilst u download is a great idea as u no longer worry about
those speeds and just let BT do its thing remember a watched kettle never boils...

suprnova downloads always go slow for me... usally for big downloads...
