i'm a guru at bittorrent and p2p progs, but irc is new to me. heard of it, tried to use it, got confused and quit. now, there r some things i want off of irc, and i was wondering if they can post a guide of how do dl off of irc. i managed to find the server and connect to it, but how do i request a file? wat do i type in?

can't anyone answer? don't be mad at me for my hl2 post in gameworld, i only wanted to express a point, and i was getting a little hotheaded when i thought bout waiting 4 more months for hl2. sory people for yelling and accusing u for being evil. so can anyone help me? btw, i'm not trying to dl hl2 on irc, i just want to learn how to do it, and try dling something

i have a question. y don't i get any responds for my dls? and how come sometimes the files are ignored? i didnt ignor them

Double check your options, its all there.

^ Make sure "On send request" is set to "Show get dialog", NOT "Ignore All".

^ Make sure "DCC Ignore" is Disabled, and UNCHECK "Turn ignore back on"

Oh crap my version is 6.03, didn't know a newer version came out. I'm downloading 6.11 right now, gonna update those screenshots. :)

also I think when you first dling something for the first time the dilog box thingy comes up untick do not show this again to get rid of that prick in the future!!
