Keyboard Probs

I had this problem once before, I know this should be somewhere else but I don't go outta the lounge :rolleyes:

Right, my keyboard is about 6 months old and I have a little problem with it.
Every time I try to type "The" or "Here" or anything with an "H" in it , it wont type, my "H" key is broken and wont work, :(

Does anyone have an idea for solving my "H" problem? :unsure:

Keep the letters h and H in a notepad file and paste them in whenever you need them - this saves you using Character map like you obviously did just there.

Or get a new keyboard, they're only a fiver or so!

or just use the on-screen keyboard in accessibility options...

Tried all them but me "H" key just does not work :(

If you have a three-buttoned mouse you can use Intellipoint to assign the third button to 'h'.

Well he must still be using Character Map or one of the alternatives we suggested.

Oh no.........Really?? :o ........I never had that much of a prob......I used some special cleaning fluid last time called "Key Clean" and it worked but I really don&#39;t know what to do about my "H" :(

try soaking the keyboard in warm soapy water for a couple of hours... :rolleyes:

you might want to try drying the keyboard off now...just use an lighter or something, but don&#39;t breath the fumes... :rolleyes:

Jonno have you tried taking your keyboard apart and cleaning around the h key because my old one someone got some sticky stuff and before you start thinking gross it was popl or something... but yeah clean that and see if that works ;)

Get you self one of those old keyboards because these new keyboards are all crappy and are made with the same plastic sheet inside of them.

Its a plastic sheet with the circuit actually drawn on with some thing that conducts electricity and the buttons are just little pads that when pressed connect the traces. My keyboard was doing the exact same thing and when i opened it all i saw was that sheet.

The old boards are the best because they dont use a damn sheet they use propper pcb with copper traces like it should be.

There was definitely something strange happening with villagephotos. The image is 69x80, but was being reported as 80x80. And someone was definitely able to see it because the usage was climbing (quite rapidly actually). I&#39;ve moved it to uploadit.org and the image size is now reported correctly - very strange.

Edit: since updating MY avatar, I can suddenly see all your images too, Virt (Nearly called you VB, but that just would not have been right).

Edit again: no, after a refresh they&#39;ve gone again, it&#39;s probably just my browser playing up.
