Not everyone just uses their downloads in folder structure. Ever heard of anything like media browser or media portal, where you select your movies by posters instead of folders. That might be one reason the "little bitches" do it.Or maybe for the people that mass produce and sell their downloads :0

because they are perfectionists.
many of them attach more importance to the tag, cue, log, and all the technical bullshit than the music itself.

...i'm not saying that all technicals aspects are bullshit though.

In all seriousness, I prefer an album upload to have artwork included because it's nice to look and read through at all the information.

Some of my latest jazz downloads(old Jelly Roll Morton recordings) came with multiple page booklets. A couple of them were over 40 pages. That's some cool shit to look through. Album covers you can find anywhere on the net, but those booklets are harder to come by.

Of course I'll download an album even if it doesn't have all the artwork included, but I prefer that it's included.

Exactly. Some album artwork consists of many pages and therefore becomes large in file size. Other people just want to have large pictures (like to print it or something.)

20mb is maybe a lil excessive but what's 20mb in a 700mb FLAC album lol...
So yeah just for the look and some people like to have big collections of pics
as well, i don't see anythin' wrong with that.

I download artwork for my Ipod. Otherwise, the coverflow looks terrible.
