How Do I Get Listed On Google?

My old site was hosted with my isp, but then i found web hostinging on the internet.

When i was hosting with shaw, my isp, my site was automatically on google, will the internet webhosting do this? Shaw never said anything about it would automatically submit your site to search engines so i guess google found my site or something, does google do that?

Most likely, someone (shaw perhaps) linked to you, and google followed the link and indexed your site.

Like he said use good meta tags and description on your page and link your main homepage from as many sites as possible which are linked through google. For eg: if you have a friend whose site is listed on google ask him to put your link. The more links crawl to your page the better.

meta tags are definitely a good idea, though google doesnt use them too much.

the best way, according to that guy is to have good content. also, youill need to be linked to from someone who is google ranked already.

also, try googling allinurl:www.url.here.com/ to find oout what pages of yours are there...
