My CPU is currently 116 F. Is that a good temperature? Also, what is a good CPU monitoring software.

That's only 47C which doesn't seem too high.
Hmonitor seems to be quite popular around here.
My motherboard came with a program (HWDoctor) that I use.

I think I'm going to write a CPU monitoring program.

You just input your Processor type during setup, and have it place itself in your systray, with a little icon you can
click on to get a picture of your CPU.

I'd like to see that.

Let me know how it goes.

What does that mean exactly?

I see folks use that phrase all the time, and I don't know what it means...

Oh,okay then.

My Task Manager shows that Hmonitor takes about 3500kb of memory and zero CPU cycles.

Light enough for you?

Hmonitor is the best that I have found but it only a trial,30 days. I was down to 5 days and my comp F**ked up and I had to reinstall and since I did that I haven't seen the screen that tells me it is a trial on startup. It just starts automatically and doesn't do the count down that it usually does so I guess it is freeware for me now.LOL
