Seedbox providers are similar to torrent trackers: both come and go, and only the truly great ones are able to survive in an over-saturated market. After sifting through various FSF seedbox articles, we tagged at least 30 as "dead" providers (listed below) but also came up with 17 new ones (at least 7 of which could be considered trustworthy). Plus, we’ve found a provider that offers a 1 Gbit port (with 250 GB HDD space and unlimited torrents/bandwidth) for less than £50/mo.

New Seedbox Providers… cont if below doesn't work:

Provider: seedboxservers.net

BT Interface: rTorrent (0.8.6) & ruTorrent 2.8, or Transmission.
Connection: 10 Mbit - 100 Mbit (shared).
Price: €10/mo, up to €35/mo.
Hard Drive Storage: 15 GB to 150 GB.
# of Torrents: unlimited on all plans.
# of User/Box: not known.
Access To Files: FTP, FXP.
Setup Time: very fast.
Monthly Bandwidth Usage: unmetered, unlimited.
Provider/Host: Uses their own hardware & host (not a reseller).
Watch out for: Their "Mini" low-end plan is just 10 Mbit.

About: Newly-formed SeedboxServers offers VPS seedboxes, each comes with it’s own dedicated IP and root/SSH access - users can check their available RAM, SWAP and HDD space, etc. Definitely this is a provider to watch out for, not some kid with a couple of Kimsufi’s. Their "standard box" (recommended) comes with 50 GB storage and unlimited everything for 15 Euros.

Owner says, "Our VPS’s are running at raid10 & Intel Core i7 based hosts connected with 10Gbit NIC to our network. Our dedicated servers are running in France - Paris, the Global Switch Data Center in our colocation center and France - Roubaix, the OVH Data Center in our second colocation center using our own IP network. We are connected to the internet over chtix.eu & D2 Direct network. We do not rent cheap dedicated servers or bandwidth like others do; we are using our own hardware."

For those familiar with RTorrentShare.com or TorrentShare.pl (and you happened to be an old client, or signed up long ago), SeedboxServers is the successor. We recommend you check your inbox at that long-forgotten gmail account; all prior customers (100 or so) were sent a promo code for a free seedbox which can be accessed through this link.
Provider: rapidpeer.com

BT Interface: rTorrent/ruTorrent is default; uTorrent & TFlux also available.
Connection: 100 Mbit shared full duplex (with 1 Gbit optional upgrade).
Price: Starting at $15/mo to $25/mo (for shared plans); $45 to $86 (dedicated).
Hard Drive Storage: 25 GB to 75 GB (shared); 250 - 500 GB (dedicated).
# of Torrents: 7 - 18 (on shared) - dedi’s are unlimited.
# of User/Box: stats unknown, although at least 7 per box (on shared) is suspected.
Access To Files: FTP, SFTP, HTTP, RSYNC (depending on plan & BT client).
Setup Time: 6 - 12 hours.
Monthly Bandwidth Usage: unmetered, unlimited data transfer on all packages.
Provider/Host: Boxes hosted in Sweden, Netherlands & US (no OVH or Server.lu).
Watch out for: No in-depth server specs (RAM, CPU, etc).

About: RapidPeer is competitively priced ($25 gets you 18 active torrents, unlimited monthly bandwidth & 75 GB storage), but one thing that stands out is the option to upgrade the line from 100 Mbit to 1 Gbit for just $9 extra (per month) on all shared packages. And since most customers probably aren’t doing this, you’ll likely have a good portion of it all to yourself. Also worth noting are their dedicated servers, starting at $45/mo - includes 250 HDD storage, unlimited bandwidth & torrents, and remote reboot. Check out RapidPeer’s comprehensive website for additional info, such as "live" network server stats; a live demo; video (tutorials) section; knowledge-desk.
Provider: switchlink.co.uk

BT Interface: TorrentFlux-b4rt (w/ full TFlux admin).
Connection: 100 Mbit shared (on their "seedbox" line).
Price: £25/mo & £45/mo.
Hard Drive Storage: 50 GB & 100 GB.
# of Torrents: unlimited.
# of User/Box: unknown for shared seedboxes.
Access To Files: FTP, HTTP
Setup Time: "Your server should be up and running within the hour and ready to go."
Monthly Bandwidth Usage: unlimited, unmetered.
Provider/Host: Hosted in the UK.
Watch out for: Somewhat expensive (but trustworthy).

About: Not primarily known as a seedbox provider, Switchlink is known more for their VPS’s, dedi’s, hosting and colocation services. There’s just two seedbox plans to choose from here (£25 & £45, with 50 GB & 100 GB storage, respectively). Seedboxes aside, this provider is potentially a good choice for those who are looking to host a torrent tracker (since, if they’re renting torrent-ready servers, it’s safe to assume that trackers are also allowed on their regular VPS product line). This in itself is worth checking out - but just to be on the safe side, use a prepaid credit card when ordering.
Provider: zazeen.com

BT Interface: Deluge, Ktorrent (default); others are available.
Connection: 50 Mbit and up.
Price: Starting at $30/mo to $100/mo. (Cdn $)
Hard Drive Storage: 450 GB - 1,500 GB.
# of Torrents: unlimited.
# of User/Box: most likely, just one.
Access To Files: FTP
Setup Time: no data available.
Monthly Bandwidth Usage: 1 TB - 6 TB.
Provider/Host: unknown.
Watch out for: Requires some technical knowledge.

About: Certainly Zazeen is one of the oddest "seedbox" sites in this review, but not one to be overlooked. Their service is aptly-named an "Online PC" which consists of Ubuntu Desktop with a huge array of Ubuntu-supported software pre bundled and ready-to-go. Users connect remotely to their desktop (server) via NX client and control all aspects of the environment (which obviously includes BitTorrent clients). Also offers a 30-day money back guarantee if you’re not satisfied; and even an anonymous method for purchasing (although processing will be slower).

Canadian Users: One really cool feature is that users (from Canada only) can send in their own empty harddrive to the company, and Zazeen will encrypt the entire contents of their "online PC" and put it onto the drive, and then ship it back via FedEx (for under $30). Why would anyone do this? We can think of one scenario: Grab their Ultimate plan (for $70, comes with 1 TB storage) and fill it to the brim with apps, games, music & movies. Then when it’s completely satiated with warez, ship them an external 1 TB drive and have everything sent back to you (totally encrypted - just in case those Mounties on horseback intercept it). Back home, plug it in locally, and start seeding! (or just start enjoying what you downloaded remotely). Could save you a fortune on over-priced Canadian bandwidth which is normally throttled and/or capped by our retarded ISPs Bell, Shaw and Rogers. Zazeen is proof that there’s more than one way to stick it to the MAFIAA and your ISP at the same time.
Provider: torrent-remote.eu

BT Interface: TorrentFlux-b4rt.
Connection: 100 Mbit & 1 Gbit.
Price: €8/mo to €80/mo.
Hard Drive Storage: 50 GB to 700 GB.
# of Torrents: 2 to unlimited.
# of User/Box: stats unknown.
Access To Files: FTP, FXP and HTTP is supported.
Setup Time: not mentioned on site (but not instant - seedbox plans need to be requested, and then when payment method is resolved, service is set up).
Monthly Bandwidth Usage: unmetered on 100 Mbit; metered on 1 Gbit ports.
Provider/Host: not known.
Watch out for: Torrent limits on most plans; only TorrentFlux available; expensive.

About: It’s heartbreaking to see providers that offer unmetered bandwidth on 100 Mbit connections, yet put metered restrictions on their superior 1 Gbit-ported seedboxes. This is like saying, "We’ll loan you a Ferrari for a month, but you only get 1/4 tank of gas". While Torrent-Remote isn’t alone in doing this, it still sucks. Getting back ontopic, you’ll need deep pockets and shell out at least €40 (yes, that’s Euros) for a server with unlimited everything (on 100 Mbit), which includes a hefty 450 GB drive. For those who are skeptical, they offer a 1-hour "test" account which can be requested here. More info about overall services and feedback can be found in their forums section.
Provider: seedbox4u.com

BT Interface: uTorrent WebUI w/ VNC access.
Connection: 100 Mbit.
Price: €15/mo to €44/mo (for non-dedi’s).
Hard Drive Storage: 250 GB to 750 GB.
# of Torrents: unlimited for all plans.
# of User/Box: maximum of 2 - 4 users.
Access To Files: FTP.
Setup Time: not mentioned on site.
Monthly Bandwidth Usage: unmetered for all plans.
Provider/Host: not known.
Watch out for: Nothing ill to report.

About: Brand-new Seedbox4u.com only launched in Jan. 2010 but already has some decent feedback. Here’s a provider that offers mid-range & high-end uTorrent packages (15 Euro gets you 250 GB storage and unlimited torrents/bandwidth). All plans come with VNC access, no setup fees, and a low user-per-server ratio.
Provider: rapidspeeds.com

BT Interface: uTorrent, TorrentFlux, rTorrent (ruTorrent UI), Deluge.
Connection: 100 Mbit & 1 Gbit.
Price: £25 to £50
Hard Drive Storage: 80 GB to 250 GB (on their "seedbox" packages).
# of Torrents: unlimited for all plans.
# of User/Box: "We only offer Dedicated Servers.“
Access To Files: FTP, SFTP.
Setup Time: no data available.
Monthly Bandwidth Usage: unmetered for all "seedbox" plans.
Provider/Host: OVH and Digicube.
Watch out for: Seedbox plans require a 3-month contract (regular dedi’s do not).

About: RapidSpeeds.com is an OVH reseller with a very impressive list of dedicated servers, and all come with outstanding torrent options (see below). Also, this is the only seedbox provider we could find that offers a 1 Gbit connection with a 250 HDD and unlimited bandwidth - all for the price of £50/mo. Where else are you gonna find that?!

Unknown, Untested Seedbox Providers…

These are ones to watch out for (in a negative way). Seedbox Providers listed below should not be automatically assumed as reputable, reliable suppliers. There are scammers out there - caveat emptor. It’s recommended that you get some feedback first or contact the site to find out more info. We’ve attempted to outline potential problems & risks with each. Tread carefully into these seedbox waters…

CoreHostings.com — Domain was registered exactly two years ago, yet has an Alexa Rank of "no rank" which clearly indicates zero visitors to the site - not a good sign. That, and there’s no direct "contact info" aside from submitting a ticket through ’support’ - which we strongly suggest you do before even contemplating on purchasing a seedbox here.

Rapidserverz.co.uk — While new, almost no traffic to this domain suggests… well, very little acceptance. That, and the poor grammar won’t bode well for English customers - for example, "…we are flexable with the amount of torrents we allow. We also monitor for lengthy inavtive torrents which we may request be removed after a long period of inactivity. All prices listed are per Calander month". Find all three spelling mistakes, and they’ll throw in a fwee se3dbawx.

Diskoverload.com — Flashy site, but nothing available to purchase. Lots of options to contact this one (IRC & forums) but it’s as dead as a doornail. Project seems abandoned.

Seedlightning.info — Domain was registered very recently (on Jan. 5th, 2010) - but there’s very little info available about the services (BT client, server specs, etc - all unknown). This one looks extremely amateurish; anyone can find a free "web hosting" Joomla/Wordpress template and set it up in under 30 minutes - which is exactly how this one appears. Feel like striking up a PayPal dispute out of sheer boredom? Then sign up! Some people get their rocks off on this kinda kinky stuff. This one’s probably a sure-shot to getting screwed - butt-plug not included.

Seedmachines.co.cc — Uses free hosting from co.cc - shouldn’t that be enough to avoid? We’d hope so.

seedb0x.com — Domain registered on July 7th, 2009. Had some decent activity but not much over the past three months. At least they outright mention that no servers are currently available. Perhaps this one’s dead or dying…

Bittraffic.com — Feeling generous? Then why not shell out $55 a month for just 50 GB storage?! Scam or not, who would possibly fall for this exorbitantly overpriced box.

Seedboxsales.co.uk — untested, no feedback.

Seedbox.cc — A derivative of seedbox.fr, this will only lead to disappointment.

FileVortex.com / Seedbox.at / Seedbox.ca — Same crap, just different links. You’ll probably get scammed.
Dead Seedbox Providers…

* • JMHServices.com — Offline since January 6th 2010, rumor has it they couldn’t afford to pay their bills to their primary supplier Netdirekt.de.
* • pimpmyratio.com — Online, but appears abandoned.

Seedbox Updates…

Santrex.net — Is now offering rTorrent/ruTorrent on all seedboxes. Users are able to view their remaining HDD space and restart rTorrent/ruTorrent through their own box (in a web browser) without having to submit a help ticket. Amazing feature!

Fiberslice.com — This one’s beginning to grow, and recently bought out wewillhostit.com and a few other seedbox / hosting providers. Not much here yet for the average torrenter, but may be suitable for hosting a tracker. Check back; we’ve been told that their services will be more "torrent-friendly" very soon.

Nocster.net & ayksolutions.com — Not seedbox providers, but sells servers - and more importantly, both are currently running a "1-month for $1" promotion. Tech-savvy seedbox DIYers, use your imagination here…

I have been using fiberslice since December. They have very nice bandwidth. They will set up rtorrent with a webui, or torretflux_b4rt for you if you ask. They do VPS's for the prices of normal shared seedbox hosts. My vps is much faster than any shared hosting provider I have used before. Give them a try, and let us know how your experience has been.

And the low end account gets you a whopping 250GB of transfer. I can go through that in a week without even trying. If they had true unlimited plans they might be worth looking at. Otherwise get outta here with that limited bandwidth junk.

It looks expensive to me. 65 dollars for a server shared between 10 people at least it's a lot, I think.

$65/mo puts you on a server with a maximum of 3 people. I believe this is not overselling ;)

3 people on 1 Gbps server? That's worth a try.

Great unsourced copy & paste of http://**************.com/2010/01/17/new-seedbox-providers-and-other-seedbox-news/ from FSF. Way to rip of Sharky and the URL filter is hilarious.

I've found a new seedbox, p2pme.com (http://p2pme.com).
Price from 12USD to 20USD, HDD from 50gb
I ordered the 12USD plan, and the speed is not bad.
Great speed and large HDD, recommended! I'm not sure about the support, because I haven't sent any ticket yet.

p2pme look crap, looks like they have heaps to a server and also limit the amount of active torrents and how much you can seed them for...

I guess you get what you pay for...

Bittraffic is not a scan since I have used their webhosting services for years until recently but yeah they will never get anyone to buy those boxes at those prices.

Off p2pme.com (http://p2pme.com/) website:

Why our price is cheaper than others?
Because our aim is NOT to earn your money, our aim is to provide the best service at low price!

These guys really have me sold, such nice guys :noes:
