when i try to do windows update i gets:

Cannot Validate The Product Key

ne ideas, i thought my key was valid! sp1a installed fine and everything! dam stupid ms! ive got xp sp1 corp ed

well email m$ I'm sure they will sort it out for you if you bought it, if not download Mr. dude key changer off kazza, works like a charm, so I'm told :ph34r:

nothing much u can do bar 2 things.

1# go out and buy a LEGAL version of XP (not reccomended LOL)
2# PM me and I'll give you the link to a site which has a prog which you will need

its all clear. it means ur xp prduct key is invalid. start lookin 4 new 1

You say you have XP sp1 corp edition and you installed sp1a? :blink:

Microsoft article (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=813926)

"Windows XP SP1a is the same as Windows XP SP1 except that the Microsoft virtual machine (VM) is removed in SP1a."
"SP1a does not include or install the Microsoft VM, which provides support for running Java programs."

You should stick with sp1. ;)

try a key changer (http://www.mike-devlin.com/downloads/downloads_home.htm) and black viper

you can download the VM seperately anyway :rolleyes:
