I've been trying to burn .bin files using nero. I first check with cdmage for errors and repair them, then make the cue sheet, follow all the instructions, and nero burns the cd, says everything is fine and then I end up with an unusable cd. where am i going wrong?

Thanks, I had before and followed all the instrutions. my cue sheet looks like this:

FILE "FLT-AM2B.BIN" BINARY
TRACK 01 MODE1/2352
INDEX 01 00:00:00

is that what it should look like?

Well, worst case scenario...you can always open CoasterWorld. ;)

Are you sure the bin files are legit? Try opening with WinISO. Does Nero burn other files OK?

Yes Nero burns other files fine mp3 and avi etc.. I was able to extract the files with cdmage and then copy them to a cd which seems to have worked. but I still can't burn the bin files normally. I also tried with alcohol 120% and had the same result. I'll try with winISO. thanks

Use alcohol120% again and burn them as RAW DAO mode, sounds like your burning them on the wrong mode.

i think the .bin files are corrupt, and you should just re-download from a different source, rather than spend 2 days screwing around with someting that aint fixable, when you could re-download in less time. its just my opinion and doesnt represent the opinion of others, lol :flowers:

If you downloaded your files with KaZaA++, then it's most likely that they are corrupt. And when burning your files with Nero, select "Burn Image" (I forget where it's located in Nero 6), not CD-ROM.

Yeah I think you're all right and the files aren't good. thanks for the tips

That's probably the problem. I didn't even think of that when I read the original post. You have to quit the wizard and go to File - Burn Image. Then when you select your bin file, a window pops up that let's you set the data mode and block size (or you could just select the cue file if you have one).
