If you have downloaded less than a 1 GB you will only be able seed/leech 10 torrents at a time. After you have downloaded 1 GB and met the minimum ratio you will be able to seed/leech 20 torrents at a time. Power users are able to seed/leech 100 torrents at a time and view sensitive material. Anyone at or above PU does not have to view the ads. :)

Opinion & Other Info:
I don't think it's possible for a mac user to dislike this site.
Although they have content other than MacOS, and they surprisingly get quite a bit of other content, I wouldn't recommend this to anyone other than a mac user. The extra categories are just icing on the very large Apple cake.
There are a lot of Mazzie [k]'s on the site. Which most mac users know is top notch!

If freeware is uploaded it is typically freeleech.
The community is friendly.Every mac user should have it. :yup:

This private tracker’s specialty is the Mac Apple World. Currently it has about 19200 users.

Invites are given out every 10 days and depend on the users stats:

1 invite: Downloaded 1-4 GB and ratio is greater than .90
1 invite: Downloaded 4-7 GB and ratio is greater than .95
2 invites: Downloaded 7-10 GB and ratio is greater than 1.00
2 invites: Downloaded greater than 10 GB and ratio is greater than 1.05

If an invite is not confirmed within 3 days it is automatically deleted.

The current invite limit is set at 19,400 so when limit has been reached invitations are disabled.

We have 3 different types of torrents on BrokenStones:
Normal Torrents - Upload- and Download amounts will be registered.
Golden Torrents - Only your upload amount will be registered.
Free Torrents - No Upload- and No Download amounts will be registered.

Also we have sitewide freeleech periods on BrokenStones for occasions, or just because we feel happy.
During these periods all Torrents will have "Golden Torrent" status.

Is "Golden Torrent" status eternal? NO it's not.
A sitewide freeleech always will have an endtime announced on the homepage the moment it starts.
Single Golden Torrents can loose their golden status whenever we please, this will always be announced 1 week upfront in the top of the description and in a comment.

So if you start to download a "Golden Torrent" then always do read the description to avoid screwing your ratio.
(or check back if the download will take some days)

• Content: 5/5
The content is easily 5/5 as there are now no other decent mac trackers so brokenstones has mac content which you will not find anywhere else. The tracker has 14,763 torrents all related to anything to do with macs and apple which is great for a specialized tracker.

• Speed: 4/5
You can easily max out a 100mbit connection on newer torrents and I usually get about 10mbit on the older, more rare torrents.

• Community: 4/5
While the IRC isn’t the most active of places, the forum more then makes up for it, it’s really active and the users will help you with any of your mac woes.

Commentary:

Other mac trackers seem to have shut down so this seems like the obvious and only choice for private tracker mac users. It has tons of content including very rare software that I could like find anywhere else that I needed like “chemdraw for mac”, a great design and an active 25k userbase. This is a must have tracker for any mac user!

You find someone with an invitation. You give them your e-mail. They use the invite function in the site. A unique, one-time link to register is created and sent to you via e-mail.
