lol, totally argee our local paper ran a story, apparently the guiness book of world records would not record the attempt as it stopped recording attempts on human endurence ages ago for safety reasons however it did comment that Mr Blaine had never broke any world records, he's showman, but i think he's far off being a superman, as he would lead you to believe

I believe this man has no place in my country (uk) Our public seem to unashamedly hate him. I hate the fact that he's willing to starve himself when so many around the world don't have a choice.
Besides he does f all for the art of magic, which I love so dearly.

:D Folks..........he's an illusionist. He's not there. What you're seeing is a projected image. Don't ask me how they ( illusionists ) manage to pull it off, but they do. I saw Copperfield, live on stage, last year and the man left us completely bewildered. They are extremely talented people without question, and they blur the line between what's real and what's not with skill and polish, but you can be sure of one thing........it's sleight of hand ! :)

Why do these magicians always resort to some heroic stunt? They end up not doing illusions anymore, and concentrate on stunts.

Houdini was like that. David Copperfield too.

David Blaine should pack it all in now, he's had his 15 minutes. Take away all these flashy commercials where he's walking backwards talking to a monkey or whatever and what are you left with ...A man in a box.

Well heres something to look at...http://www.blaine-exposed.co.uk Great just what we need, more theories to add to our confusion...

Heres a snippet:

On the afternoon of Monday 14th October (day 38 of Blaine's endurance test), when mere mortals would be giving in to hunger pains and boredom, Blaine was observed going about his daily routing of pacing, staring and waving. Armed with a concealed camera with a telescopic lens and UV filters, and mingling with the crowd, we waited for David to head to the east end of the box and wave. Obviously weakening by this stage he no longer stood to wave but sat and leaned towards the eastern side. The following pictures, reveal the greatest trick of David Blaine's career...
