Which is faster Windows Xp Home Edition or Windows Xp Proffesional Edition, or are they both the same speed at opening programs and playing games and such.

short answer, they're the same speed

pro has multi-cpu support though, but unless you've got more than one cpu, you shouldn't see a difference
