I just finished watching the rest of the match a while ago. The 3rd period was really intense, a lot of back and forth action near the end with some traded goals. And finally followed by one fall-on-my-ass-and-block-the-shot plays that was fucking hilarious :D. Certainly the empty net goal wasn't as "impressive" as the others but it did serve to cement the lead they had and it isn't that easy to get a chance to shoot when you're underhanded.

These are just the preliminaries though so Canada still has a very good chance of making it far in the Olympics, although this will most certainly put a serious dent in their momentum.

And to Idol, I can't miss an opportunity to insult the significant Canadian influences of this board :D. Americans are just too damn awesome.

Only because most parents don't have the means or time to enroll their kids in hockey . Soccer is a great sport tho and all you need is a ball and a pair of cleats .

Apparently NBC decided to be money whoring douchebags and the link that I gave won't work unless you have a TV provider that is partnered with NBC (and in that case, why wouldn't you just watch on your TV?).
