hi i was hoping you sluts in movieworld could help me out with something. i am currently reading a book called "no mean city" it is an excellent book about glasgow slums (is there anywhere else in glasgow?) and i have heard rumours from people that it was made into a film. i cant be bothered googling so i was hoping one of you's could tell me the basics if you've seen it. i.e. who's in it, where can i get it, did you enjoy it. Thanks very much.

it could be a movie called the RATCATCHER,there is also a comedy called bill to about that but ratcatcher is you best bet

i've seen the ratcatcher while a good film it is not related to the book. the book is about the razor king johnny stark who is the leader of a gang in the gorbals in Glasgow. i just finished the book on the bus to uni this morning btw. it is probably the best book i have ever read and would very much like to see the film which was made about it. a google search brought up nothing of interest. hopefully one of the older-british generation will know more about it. thanks for your reply.

There is a movie called No Mean Streets Starring Robert Carlysle (guy from 51st State or Formula 51 as its also known)about gangs and skinheads something like Romper Stomper.
It is quite old i can't remember much now anyway

i googled it and nothing came up so i checked amazon and the thing that did come up was a 1973 film starring robert deniro called Mean Streets. see link below

Sorry my fault it was No Mean City it was a 1985 movie.
