View Full Version : What Should My Next Resident

Right now I have NOD32 as resident AV. I'm tired of chasing the un/pw every month. And I'd like an AV with at least a yr *cough cough* subscription. Had NOD32 about 4 months & gone through half a dozen un/pw. NO CRACK WORK FOR NOD32, NONE. I've tried at least 6.

KAV 4.50.48 Pro is my non-resident AV & sucks up too many system resources to be my resident AV. Also when KAV runs as resident it conflicts with other software. So KAV will stay as my non-resident AV, it also scans all my downloads via FlashGet.

I have a low end computer. So I want my AV to be low on system resources. And take less than 15 minutes to scan my computer. KAV as an on demand scan takes 35 minutes vs 4 minutes for NOD32 & 8 minutes for AVG pro.

I will not use panda or mc*ff** cause imo they are pos.

I have retail versions of F-Secure v2003, F-Prot 3.14b, SAV Corp. 8.1 & AVG pro.

Which should I try next & why? I'm leaning towards F-Secure or F-Prot. Thanks all.

There both good, avg uses less resources than the standard norton.
