Im looking to buy a new gfx card and my budget is 100 pound and my gfx card at the moment is a 64 mb nvidia GeForce2 mx/mx 400

my system specs:-
1.2 ghz amd athlon
256 mb ram (not sure what kind)
Windows Xp

The bloke i got the pc from told me it was a 2 ghz pc but when i look at the system information it says 1.2, is there any other way of seeing the ghz apart from system information and is there any way to find out what type of ram im using.

thanks for any replys.

i think you might benefit more from 256mb extra RAM - if you decide to go for a graphics card i think you should consider any of the Geforce4 Ti range this caught my eye (http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/index.html?action=c2hvd19wcm9kdWN0X292ZXJ2aWV3&product_uid=35480)

cheers callum for the aida32 program, it was just what i needed.

i found out that my ram is sdram so is it ok to get a gfx card with ddr ram and how much of a difference is there between a 64 and 128 mb gfx card?

better everything. speed, detail, benchmark scores, and everything else.

go with 128mb. it'll last u a couple of years of meeting at least the minimum requirements

9500 nonpro is better than 9600 nonpro, cause the 9500 nonpro can be unlocked.
