Right i haqve dl Battlefield 1942 as torrent file from Suprnova.org. when you open the foilder there are 2 image files in Nero nrg format names cd1 and cd2. when i click on them it opens my nero burning rom ready to burn. I click on burn and it goes ahead. when it has finished it says succesfully finished. yippee i say. BUT when i try to read the disc it says its a format not compatable with windows.
ive looked at the manuals at nero and its following the correct procedure that i can see so im stuck. help please would be appreciated.
cheers

on the disk is there a .nrg file or does it have different folders and files?

not sure, but I think you can mount them with daemon tools
http://www.daemon-tools.cc/portal/portal.php

the only other way is choose burn image and select the nrg then click burn
burn image is under recorder(nero 6) or under file (nero 5)

also think nero has a virtual drive option, but have never used it in favor of daemon tools

Hi guys, I'm quite frustrated with this, I've looked up in the nero help files but either i'm a complete idiot or blind but i cant find out how to mount these files. It tells you how to burn them and how the virtual image file thing works but thats it. Burning them as .nrg image files doesnt work as i said it just gives me a wrong format error.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Give Alcohol 120% a try.
It supports the following file types:
.mds, .ccd, .cue, .iso, .bwt, .cdi, .nrg, .pdi and you can add other extensions if you need to.
It also installs a virtual drive.

Hope this helps,
Steve

do as I do...when unsure about an image, burn it to CD-RW so you can erase it if it's no good.
