Hi.
So, since rabbit is no more, would someone be kind enough to share some screens? I know about reviews on some sites, yet not much good screens available.
I wasn't a member but always wanted to be. Sadly I won't have that oportunity for obvious reasons but I'm still really curious to have better image of what it was looking like. PM or post here would be great.

Thanks to anyone who finds this request to be not so stupid. Kisses

Better question is, why do you care? Even after the site's death, people are still only obsessed with rarity...

I answered your 'better' question in the first post. Because I'm curious. That's all.

What are your assumptions based on?
Rabbit was a community of thousands of members. If they moved entirely (I don't mean iTS but rabbit relocation), I'm sure that I (and many others) would know about it somehow. If selected members of rabbit made something else for themselves, it by no means can be what it was.
I may not know many things but I guess my thoughts are quite valid.

0day gone, everything is exactly the same. Surprisingly, losing SCT did not change anything for me, and that site had a ton of scene content.

Yes, the Phoenix is reborn from it's ashes in mythology. No, FTWR is not going to be "reborn". We lost all our database. The latest backup we have is from December 2008. The staff had three options:
1. Close the site.
2. Start from the 1-year old backup.
3. Start from scratch with the code.
The owners of the site decided to go with #1.

look at that snatch list ... 0 times 0 times 0 times 0 times. .. .

that is never a good thing for a site...

i would have liked to have been a member of that site but rly what is the point when there is so little activity ? other than to brag to people about being a member there... but outside of this place i don't know anyone who would give a shit about being a member of a "private" torrent community

Nothing wrong with activity. Quite expected from the 0day/gen site without a bunch of rss-enabled seedboxes.

You'd like to be a member, but you don't see the point, right? So why would you like to be a member?

compared to other sites w/ similar memberbase, they were doing quite good actually. They had lot more torrents and overall seed/leech compared to other smaller sites. I was rather surprised when i saw it for the first time.

The best thing about Rabbit was that it was all member submitted stuff so you got occasionally you got some truly cool and unique stuff
The worst thing about Rabbit was it was all member submitted stuff and so the process of getting anything fast ( or in the case of some TV series at all )was hit and miss sometimes .
Still imo cool stuff beats fast stuff so I found it a worthwhile site.

Also I don't know where that image is from never saw any torrents with zero snatches although in fairness a lot of people there did tend to be pretty shitty seeders.

I kinda liked the fact, that it wasn't that fast. Slower uploaders did tend to scare of the swarms of seedbox users on all sites, which in turn meant that I could download a show hours after it was upped and still be able to seed it to 1:1 within a day in many cases. Especially the unpacked versions, which were pure win, I really liked.

(Nothing against seedboxes. They just tend to kill my measly 55KB/s upload on a <3000 user site)

Also the interest in obscure stuff was great. I remember uploading some weird font which was requested like two months earlier and it got close to 30 snatches over the course of two weeks. That's more than 1% of the user base. Which brings me to the very active request section :)

I for one was sad to see it go. It was usually the first place I browsed after coming home from work.

And yeah the 2008 numbers seem very misleading. Must have been tracker trouble. While some torrents never got snatched, it was usually because they were of not all that great content.

I personally liked the people (their staff and active IRC participants). The forums were a bit dead for my tastes but that's expected on such a small site.

Trackerwise I didn't use it a huge amount, though it was a good place to request obscure material. My downloads there were mostly TV and porn :D

Also: I miss my profile full of smilies :(

Exactly. Their promotion system really seemed to motivate people to be active on the tracker. Also, like most of the older sites out there, they had members who only had that tracker (yes, they are a minority).

The forum and irc were pretty active which is always a nice thing.

As NightOwl alluded to compared to many other trackers it was a "kinder ,gentler place " ( except for the sysops' delusions of godhood).Didn't find the forums anything special ,but then I haven't found any forums to be special ( probably why I find it just as easy to post here) and as previously stated I don't really do irc.

Just my opinion/comment but if the place still existed one thing that would really be bothering me is tha some twit would be tattling about this thread in a special section of the forums devoted to " security breaches" . Aside from maybe the posting of the screens I think that is more than a little anal/juvenile.

I'm sure if we all pool together we can put together screenshots of lots of other trackers that are gone, so you can see what else you'll never be able to join, pretend.

That's one utterly useless post ... off course you're not asking for an invite ... the tracker is DEAD!

I'm with Art on this one ... I like the idea of some kind of masturbation-screenshot-collection of dead, never to join trackers, nor when they were alive, nor when they are dead.

It would take 'pathetic' to a whole new level !
