The spec sheet says USB "service only" so I don't think you can.

I've read that you can change that service only option from the service menu
At least it can be done for the LH3000 model. I guess you can try

WEll the netbook has a VGA Port and according to these (LGE32LH30) specs the tv has one too so you would need a cable like these (http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=2010010001%20117752945&bop=And&ActiveSearchResult=True&Order=PRICE). Be warned though, you couldn't play HD movies correctly bud. My advice in yet another thread is to save up and get the WDTV Live (http://www.wdtvlive.com/products/wdtv_live#highlights)and an HDMI cable. the wdtv live will play anything you throw at it. Its about $100 and will save you a world of headache.

Also frank, have I seen you on any other HW forums as of late? your nick and sig seem eerily familiar.

not sure what HW forums stands for. I did steal it off some open forum somewhere that could of been it. But this is the only forum I use this particular signature. I did steal the Avator from someone in the BitHD tv forums. yes you can call me a theif!. ;) anyway thanks for the Advice looks like the red yellow and white cables it is!! unless i bring my own laptop.

Hey most of us steal avatars, I stole mine as well. I guess frankthetank isn't exactly original either. HW forums=Hardware Forums.

Dude, why not order a VGA cable for $10 bud?

"and a USB port for access to digital music and videos without the need for a PC." Based on the description it should play video from usb.....right? The question is what all formats it will play.

But yeah if not, the little players are sweet (WDTV live, popcorn hour, and asus o!play have all worked well for me).

LOL, as some of you know I should get a job as a WDTV Live rep because I love it so much. The thing plays everything you throw at it and yes it will play right from the USB stick or external HDD.
