2009 was not a good year for bittorrent lovers. STN was really a promising tracker, but has survived only one month. Also SceneTorrents the one of the most used tracker has been closed and as you can see in our current poll, a lot of users wants ScT back. 209-T & FtWR, two hidden trackers are now closed, we don't have any information about closing reason in 209-T case but in FTWR, the tracker was closed by an internal error. The #1 most requested tracker in 2009, shouldn’t be surprising. The best way to join in your favorite tracker are bittorrent forums, and if you have luck on your request will be "filled".
BitTorrent Forums: several, and the list can continue.

#1. FTN
This shouldn't a big surprise, FTN its the most requested tracker in 2009. FTN has the perfect combination: no ratio ; great pretimes ; fast speed ; content and for the friendly community. Even if its the most requested, not all users who request it are now in FTN, because the only trusted users have a chance to join in. The user limit is almost reached so while the days pass your chance's to join in are low. Also, its hard to find a FTN giveaway on bittorrent forums because of rules. The tracker dont allow users to make the FTN giveaways public or in bittorrent forums.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
#2. SCC
With ScT closed, the users who request SCC are more often in bittorrent forums. SCC offers great pretimes and a fast speed on torrents. Even if you have a low speed, MP3/0-Day categories are FreeLeech so its a good way to build your ratio. Only VIPS+ have invites, but we estimate 37% of the users who request SCC are now in. Old ScT members can have now a new home, SCC has accepted the ScT members through "interview". If your not member of any bittorrent forum & you dont have a friend in SCC with invites, you can join in through Waffles or What.cd recruitment(only for PU). Remember, SCC has allready banned some countrys(for a lot of traders/sellers/cheaters that are in the respective country) so be carefully.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
#3. HDBits.org
For true HD lovers, HDBits are theyr request. The tracker offers high torrents quality, great speeds and a lot of Freeleech torrents. This makes HDBits special, and its #3. the most requested tracker in 2009. While signups are never publicly open & the most of the registered HDBits.org users dont have invites, this makes your chances to join in very low. In 09' the tracker was decided to open the invites, but because the sellers have allready post the invites on sell-invites-sites the tracker has closed the invites.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
#4. TranceTraffic
The number of trance listeners has grow up, also the requests for a TT invite. Currently the user limit has been reached so your chances to join in are very low, but the trusted users still have invites so if your really a trance lover you will join in TT. TranceTraffic offers high quality on the torrents(wich is very important for music trackers) and a great speed. Acording to ************** TT its on level 7(These sites are very difficult to get in to. Invites for existing members are likely shut down permanently. It may be easier to find someone who is giving away their account, as opposed to an invitation.)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
#5. Pedro's BTMusic
Such as E***O & NM, Pedro's its a tracker specialized in FLAC torrents. Pedro's offers high torrents quality ; great speed and also you will find here a friendly community. Only VIP's+ have invites and the invites are given to trusted friends, so even if you request for it its very hard to mark your request as filled. We estimate 35% of the users who request Pedro's are now in.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6#. TorrentLeech
In every bittorrent forum, you will find at last one TL request. TorrentLeech appears more often in "Requested" categories, and we estimate 53% of the users who request TL are now in. TL give invites in every month, for PowerUsers. Remember, the invites are given rondom so if you have luck you will recive a TL invite. TL offers good pre on torrents ; fast speed on torrents and high torrents quality. Also, TL has a very friendly community.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
#7. Waffles
Waffles, is specialized in only music torrents. If your PowerUser you will recive invites per month, notice that your invited user must have a seedbox or a fast home speed because on Waffles.fm its very hard to seed. Also, if your PU on waffles you will not recive only invites, you will also have a chance to join in a lot of private trackers, among them is SCC. Waffles offers high torrents speed and also high torrents quality. Every single torrent its carefully checked by the staff. On waffles its free upload and the number of torrents grow up very fast. What.cd and Waffles seems to be the next OiNK.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
#8. BitMeTV
On the net are a lot of users who likes TV-Shows, and for this BitMeTV its the most used tracker for TV-shows. Great speed and high torrents quality makes the users to request it. Also, the tracker has good pre time. The invites are given to PowerUsers+ but the invites are given to trusted users, also be carefully what user you invite because the invites right can be easly disabled and the same with your account. So we estimate 46% of the users who request BitMeTV are no in.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
#9. BCG
BlackCats-Games its a private tracker specialized in games-only. The pre its not very fast on BCG but you will find great speed and a friendly community. Of course the torrents quality its very good, but remember BCG dont have only 0-day torrents, you will find on BCG old torrents too. BCG its perfect for gamers, and the invite system its kinda weird. The referals are given to old, active and trusted members. The invites are given carefully because if you will invite a cheater/scamer/trader/seller your invite right or and your account can be easly disabled/banned.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
#10. What.cd
Well such as Waffles, What.cd its a powered by gazelle and its a music-only tracker. If in waffles its hard to seed, here its more hardest. Even if its free upload, the torrents are carefully checked by the staff and 60% of What.cd registered users have a seedbox. The invites are given for PowerUsers and you will have acces to the hidden for forum PU's. You will have a chance to join in other trackers because What.cd give's unlimited invites to KG;SCC;etc. We estimate 39% of the users who request what.cd are now in and the invites are given to trusted members. On bittorrent forums you won't find a what.cd giveaway, because What.cd is in non-movement list.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
#11. GFT
GFT its a small community with fast pretimes & fast speed on torrents. Such as FTN, GFT has the same combination: no ratio; fast pretimes ; great speed on torrents and a friendly community. The invites are given to VIPS but also the high user classes. The invites are given to trusted users, also you must be carefully what user you invite, a lot of GFT accounts are now disabled by cheat;trade;sell. Currently in the GFT blacklist is Romania, make sure you won't invite an Romanian user.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
#12. E***O
Such as NM;Pedro's, E***O its a music tracker specialized in FLAC-only-torrents, so you won't find any .mp3 here. The invites are given to trusted members, but on bt forums you will see a lot of E***O requests, but we estimate only 12% of the users who request E***O are now registered members. The tracker has high torrents quality, fast speed and the community its the same as FTN. E***O its a hidden tracker so we won't privide the full name or the full url.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
#13. PTN
PTN its a no ratio tracker, specialized in movie-only torrents. The community its very friendly and the torrents have fast speed. Also PTN has elegant style's(theme's) and the invites are given to VIPS(donator) or the "invite application" its often opened on PTN. The tracker wants security so we won't provide the full url or the name, but if your friend its on PTN he can tell you the url and when the invite application its opened you can apply for one. The invite application can be found in (http://ptn.net/comeandplay.php).
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
#14. RevolutionTT
Such as TL, RevolutionTT its a great 0-day tracker, the invites are given to PowerUsers but you can request for invites in the forums(only for PU's). You have a limited invites to request so depends how much uploaded GB and ratio you have. The invites are no very difficult to find out, on bittorrent forums you can easly get an invite. We estimate 69% of the users who request revTT are now registered members. RevolutionTT.net has great pretimes and fast speed on torrents. Also, after you register you must seed the old torrents because the tracker has a "wait time" system.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
#15. MusicVids
MusicVids invites are hard to find, the invites are given to trusted members and for vips+. Also sometimes the invites are given the high user classes. MusicVids its specialized in music video clips, and MV its the greatest tracker for music videoclips. Currently the tracker has rich 34.000 torrents, so its very impressive. Also you can find invites on Waffles & What.cd forums(for PU's only). MV offers high torrents quality and fast speeds, also its hard to seed here without a good home connection or a seedbox. Also its free upload, so everyone can upload but remember to read the Uploading Rules. Every single torrent its carefully checked by the staff so if you have not uploaded it currectly you will recive a waring/disabled.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
#16. iTS
iTS its a hidden tracker, so if you search on google for iTS you won't find theyr url or the full name. The invites are avaible only for the staff but you can also join in theyr interview channel(with an invite) and you will have to pass the test. The tracker has 5.000 users limit and currently the tracker has rich 2500 and the iTS requests are more often in the bittorrent forums. Only 13% of the users who request iTS are now registered members.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
#17. iPLAY
iPLAY.ro its a general/0-day tracker from Romania, the invites are veyr hard to find out. iPLAY dont give invites automaticaly , the invites are given to trusted members and for VIPS+. To have at last 1 invite you must donate 9EUROS. Also sometimes the tracker gives one invite for PowerUsers+ but only in special days. We estimate 19% of the users who request iPLAY are now registered members. iPLAY offers high torrents speed and fast pretimes also its a friendly & active community.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
#18. BitMe
BitMe its a very good e-learning tracker with the same codebase like BitMeTV. The tracker offers high torrents quality and great speed. Also the invites are given to trusted members, the PowerUsers+ recive invites also you can join in iTS from BitMe. BitMe has great documentaries and a large variety of torrents.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
#19. Elektronik
Elektronik its a music tracker from Romania, specialized in Electronik and Trance music. Also they have a large variety of house torrents. The invites are very hard to find out, they are given to trusted members, high user classes and if you have enough karma points you can buy an invite. Also the staff give invites to users in special days and they are avaible for a limit time.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
#20. FSC
FSC its one of the most hardest tracker to join in, acording to ************** FSC its a 9 level tracker. The invites are currently closed and when they open them, are for a small time. FSC has rare content and fast speed. You can join here even if you have a low speed, because FSC its a non-ratio tracker. We estimate 3% of the users who request FSC are now registered members. Your mission to join in FSC its very hard but on bittorrent forums the FSC request are more often maded.

Really useful now I have a list of what a bunch of barely post pubescent males that I don't know ,don't want to know and somehow still manage to have no respect for think is important.

I'll add it to their considered opnion that Transformers 2 is a good movie.

I have to admit, I usually enjoy reading the Fsf similar list because the comments are usually hilarious with flame wars breaking left and right. This one was on the depressing side, it felt like a horrible ESL high school boy wrote it (not that Sharky doesn't sound like one), and tried to suck as much you-know-what to get in the trackers he clearly doesn't have or know anything about from this list.

Its is probably the most requested private tracker via trade lol.

Its sort of odd that more traders get invited to ftn than legit users.

So if FTN isn't the most requested, then what is?

IdolEyes787
03-08-2010, 02:58 AM
I guess that totally depends on which forum you mean.
Here surprisingly little gets straight out requested anymore.Probably TL or What/Waffles although people have finally gotten the idea that What doesn't take kindly to breaking their rules concerning giving invites to strangers.
Other than those maybe BCG , BitMe/Bitspyder ( because there are a lot of students) or other well known 0days like IPT or RevTT.
Seriously ones like FTN might be the most "sought after" but they aren't remotely the most requested except by traders.
Also depressingly of note, next to no one asks for specialty movie sites anymore..... except for CN or maybe PTN but there again it's more about the assumed l33tness than any special content.

Quarterquack
03-08-2010, 03:02 AM
Also depressingly of note, next to no one asks for specialty movie sites anymore.

Not true at all. Everywhere I go I see people asking for trackers that index Indie movies, or short movies (10-18 minute movies). They're not being requested directly because people simply don't know about them; people just ask for what they want and not where they want it from.

When KG/CN/THC are suggested people are usually more than pleased with what they find.

IdolEyes787
03-08-2010, 03:34 AM
I was only referring to this particular site as I don't frequent anywhere else.
In my own personal( and limited) experience KG gets lip service because a lot of people have heard of it being "the best place for classic movies" but very few people who become members actually ever end up using the site. It being more about foreign and arthouse films than specifically what people think of as "classic"
As for CN from what I hear it less than dazzles except in "rarity" .
TehConnection is a good site as is goem but I can count on the fingers of one hand anyone asking for them in the last 6 months.
Btw maybe I'm the exception but what I would do before requesting anything is a little research into what is available so that I hopefully come off as having a bit of initiative .

I also stand behind my assertion that hardly anyone asks for anything here anymore. If on the other hand you asked me to list what is the most coveted by the traders I would have no problem doing that because that particular section hasn't seen any appreciable drop-off.And that's only the ones I see posted because if the Report section is any indication a considerable percentage of people here trade and somehow forget to make the fact publicly known .:dabs:

Quarterquack
03-08-2010, 04:47 AM
I don't frequent that many places, either. I was actually talking about people asking on private trackers themselves for recommendations. KG/Extremebits usually fulfill most of the queries.

When I said CN, I meant Cinematik; but you're kinda wrong about the one you know about (well what you heard is off). Based on my experience, they have a great index of everything I ever looked for (minus one movie in 1080p, but they had it in 720p), with great alternative quality features etc. To be honest, people see it as a collectible only because they saw it as such from the start.

I was a member at both TC and Goem and with the exception of Goem's thriving community, I mostly felt I would be sitting on an account with 0 bandwidth at both, since they had no real special content, well nothing comparable to KG/CN.

That's partially because the BT world is maturing as a whole; not a problem with this place in particular. I'm finding that the protocol/the community are all just developing and people are finding out that the way into private trackers isn't to flatter or stroke the most people, but to stop building those buffers and work to enjoy what you have. A year ago you'd only see the people at the top of the "torrent foodchain" mentioning things like being a reputable member instead of a staple bandwidth whore, nowadays most trackers make it clear that that is what they're looking for.

Change happens; change is welcome, people adapt. :)

IdolEyes787
03-08-2010, 01:31 PM
Like I said I have no personal knowledge of CN and have only others experiences on which to base my opinion ,which granted is probably not the wisest thing to do.
As for Goem I've been able to find things there I couldn't anywhere else , even Zamunda .Granted it's not always the fastest but I personally ( my perception at least) appreciate it's unassuming nature .
I gave up/lost my account at PTP when one of the staffers insisted I couldn't use my server to browse:unsure: at the time I was basically doing everything bt related through my seedbox so I thought wtf?

Btw I am sadly forced to disagree about the bt world maturing ( and I am hardly alone in this view) .Maybe I don't share the same exalted strata as you and so see things considerably diferently but imo if anything there is a steady and disturbing regression.

PS I'm not really sure what you were getting at ,is being a reputable member somehow inferior to being a "bandwidth whore"?
Although I've seen evidence of that at places like SCC I prefer ( again personally) if the reverse were true.

Can you please elaborate as to how you arrived on this conclusion .. I was under the inmpression that the avg member age at the trackers was on a decline .. Which you can clearly make out from number of people who consider Tracker accounts as trophies rather than as means of getting pirated stuff .. Any stats to prove otherwise would be highly supportive of your statement.

The avg member ages doesn't 100% dictate the BT world Maturing as a whole. There are many other factors that play into it.

Also by maturing I think he intended to say that it is changing.

Have and like. - 4
Have and dislike. - 2 (WhatWafflesWhereWho)
Don't have and want. - 1 (BCG :( )
Don't have don't want. - 13

Pretty well off I think, most of the high level niche trackers (lossless, learning and videos specifically) just don't interest me and I am not a collector. :)

Remarkable how you can clearly comprehend his intentions.
You can re read my post and point out where did i mention that avg member age is the single criterion.
Anyways if anything is indication of the Maturity its the Drama that goes on in BT World . Try asking members who were here in 2006-07 as to how much BT Drama used to unfold here back then and compare it with last year.
What i intend to say is that More Drama is an indication of lower maturity level ..

Find the movie you want in the archive, find the TV Series in the archive, find the game in the archive in a collection. I just don't understand people who have ratio/content trouble on SCC. Almost everything is there.

No one's stopping you from buffering up in the mp3 section on music you listen to, then use the buffer in the browse section.

As for CN from what I hear it less than dazzles except in "rarity" .

As far as I do know you have already been asked to join the site, you could have come up with your own conclusions which is usually what you tend to do? Now you haven't and you failed. I'm sorry if my definition of rarity is distorted but a site that is currently accepting apps from all around the world shouldn't be considered l33t. And by no means I'm saying CN is the best movie site, just letting you know we don't intend to be l33t.

IdolEyes787

Somehow I was pretty sure I had done it months ago :/

That was more like a message to the masses out there who think every site that intends to stay under the radar wants to be l33t. Most users jump to conclusions based on what they hear... it just shouldn't happen like that.

IdolEyes787
03-11-2010, 11:00 PM
No it shouldn't .
As for CN I also hear it is greatly improved and appreciated by many people.
Just to get the facts straight (and I am not looking for an invitation) I never actually applied.Bumrocks had a recruitment thread here several months ago I posted some answers which I thought were funny( favorite car -Ric Ocasek) and simply for that reason( that I thought it was funny) .Though I never intended it he took it as a genuine application ( it was imho better than most:happy:) and gave it to whoever looked after those things there at CN at that time.
A week or two later he messaged me back that it had been denied since I was staff at a "trading site".
I was a bit perturbed at the time since in my own mind at least I had never been involved in any trading but despite any further attempts that was the final word.
Anyway in the long run it didn't matter and I never held that denial against anyone( seeing it wasn't /isn't a singularly held opinion) and never ( except when called upon here) gave any further thought to CN.

lol well I must say I wouldn't have denied your *fake* application. You couldn't really do much against the site...there are already a few reviews out there and I don't think you have any hacking skills?

Anyway, CN is indeed getting better and bigger (about 400 users were accepted so far), and so all is going alright if anyone cares to know.
