I give up!!, i've been here for two weeks continuously asking for help converting a movie (avi or mpeg) into a vcd format and burning on a 800mb disc using nero...all i get is read this read that blah blah..i've read it and cant find a solution..i've tried the Npeg whatever program to split i've read dvdrhelp etc...can someone tell me how or not!? Im not tryin to be rude but im frustrated and i know some of u have accomplished what im tryin to do. If you want to keep this secret to urselves then there is nothing i can do but just forget and sell my brand new dvd/vcd player and buy another monitor for dwnstairs and bring my tower down when i want to watch movies...

Try reading dvdrhelp, it is the best site for what u want. The exact page, if u can't read, is http://www.dvdrhelp.com/tmpgenc.htm
I always use this. Any problems with that, come here and people will help. They might not bother answering the same questions again and again

nero is not good for encoding, its ONLY good for burning.

please read my answer in your previous thread

thats just one of the consequences of letting nero encode you movie, don't get me wrong nero is the shit at BURNING, but it does a very poor job at encoding at best you get poor picture quality at worest you get what you have, a upside down backward movie.
use tmpgenc in my sig, pretty strait forward and if you can't figure it out by just playing with it, look at any of the links I gave you for guide to using tmpgenc to encode

what DON"T you understand
you should NOT use nero to encode, you SHOULD use tmpgenc to encode
you SHOULD remove bad frames BEFORE you start to encode
you SHOULD use tmpgenc to split the encoded movie
you SHOULD use nero to BURN you encoded movie

links for the above:
http://www.nero.com/us/index.html for nero
http://divxrepair.sourceforge.net/ to remove bad frames
http://www.tmpgenc.net/ for tmpgenc
http://www.dvdrhelp.com/guides?tools=1&mad...+or+List+Guides (http://www.dvdrhelp.com/guides?tools=1&madeby=&formatconversionselect=&osselect=&howtoselect=%3B&search=Search+or+List+Guides) <- guide for tmpgenc if you can't figer it out like I told you in this thread
http://www.klboard.ath.cx/index.php?showto...=0&#entry591732 (http://www.klboard.ath.cx/index.php?showtopic=75079&st=0&#entry591732)

again like in that thread, I ask again can your dvd player aeven play vcd or svcd
you need to check here before you even start
http://www.dvdrhelp.com/dvdplayers.php
I know plenty of people that did everthing right and they couldn't play them on a ps2
