Try just manually setting the burner to 4x in Nero also sounds like u need a faster burner.

as i said before, ive burned using this drive before at 4x so i dont need a faster burner, im using the same discs.

the option to change speeds is not there either only showing me 2x

thanks for the reply though, anyone else?

You don't complain about burning at a 4x speed. You must have a DVD writer, then. :D

Read this (http://www.nero.com/en/631933964104283.html#3) and see if it helps. ;)

Its a compatibility issue with disks. I had this problem when I upgraded toNero Ultra 6. I recommend upgrading the firmware on your burner. Also with some of the cheap disks Nero WONT always allow the maximum speed, with cheap DVDs I can only burn at 3x with good branded ones I get 4x. 12mins for 4.7Gb data. I dont think you can override the speed setting in Nero 6 (but I havent looked too closely)
