As a general rule I try to avoid the ampersand (&). It's just too elaborate.
It is the punctuation mark equivalent of the curly wurly, which I have made my feelings perfectly clean on in the past.

the ampersand is an amazingly useful chappie.
erm yeah i used it once in c++ and erm :unsure: yeah thats about it really.
i cant write it to save my life so being rather common im sticking with the old + sign instead.

It's also a close cousin of ?, and I think it's because of this you dislike poor &.
