Can Someone Tell Me How To Install Bin/cue Files [Archive]

I downloaded max payne 2 and I was thinking that you can just install the game and play. I extracted the files but nothing seems to happen. Iv been reading some threads about bin and cue files, but don't know shit about them. Do I have to install the game on disc first before I can play the game? someone help me out here.

Yes you have to install PC games before playing them, what you have to do is mount the BIN using Alcohol 120% or Daemon tools, then you have a extra CD drive in "MY PC" that is the game you just mounted from there you can install :D

You can install it by using a program called Daemon Tool's (if you search for "Daemon" then you'll likely find a link or s2d for it, by mounting the image file as if it's a CD file :-)

Alternatively, and i'd recommend this, you can write the files to CD using Alcohol 120% or Nero (or any other CD burning software which support's .cue and .bin files), just load them up, select to burn CD image file and then point the program to the .cue file, insert a blank CD, select a low (I use 8X) CD writing speed and burn it to CD :-)

so im burning these files to the cd, but the files are bigger than my 700mb disk. Im a dummie when it comes to this stuff can someone tell me step by step

2. On the bottom of your screen there is little icon of Daemon Tools, click it.
3. Click on "Device 0: [H:] No media" (H could also be another letter) and a window pops up.
4. Select the disc image you want to load and click on open

How did you mounted CD 1

Do the same thing for CD 2

when I click on CD 2 and click on MP2_play.cue it opens up a page and I see the CD contents and I see Data3 in there, but when I click on it it says the archeive is either unknown format or damaged.

look try again

unmount all drives

after the first disk is fully installed and it ask for cd 2

unmount all drives
On the bottom of your screen there is little icon of Daemon Tools, click it.
Click on "Device 0: [H:] No media" (H could also be another letter) and a window pops up.
Select the disk image 2 to load and click on open

give it a few and should take over, you might have to say ok on the box that came up saying to put in disk 2

its not doing what u said it should be doing. when I click on CD 2 it opens up a screen with folders in it.

the screen has a bin, help, crack, autorun, data3, lauch, and another purple launch folder and icons. thats it

when i ask for cd2, do you click ok then do it or just leave the error alone till you mount cd2

It says plz insert disk 3 that contains the file MP2_Data3.cab. Then I go to deamon and unmount drivers, Then I click back on the Device 0 and go to CD 2 and it shows up MP2_Play.cue. I click on that a screen shows up with the folders and icons a file that says Data3. thats what happens.

go back to the error(pleas insert disk 2) then and click ok, it should continue to install

I go back but when i click on OK It says setup could not find a file on the specified path or disk. Please check that the proper disk is inserted or specify a new path.

look what is your deal

mount cd 1
it installs
then it ask for cd 2
*freeze*
click un mount all drives
mount cd 2
*freeze*
go back to error and say ok
it will continue from wear it left off

if you can't finger it out just try gardening or collecting stamps, cause computers are just not some peoples thing

ok, gone this far

you need to open cd 2
their will be a folder called crack copy the continents to the
C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Max Payne 2
directory
if done correctly windows will kick a error asking if you want to replace the file, you need to say yes

if windows does not kick a error, you copied it to the wrong folder

I open up the crack folder and theres only a icon and thats it. Something must me missing.

its the crack, a game crack is nothing more than a cracked .exe file (look to a noobb like a icon)
that makes you play the game, learn to follow directions are people won't help you
