I m new user here, but I've been using Kazaa for last 2 years.

So, far I was using Http-Tunnel and speed was around 3-4 kbps (as my LAN dont have broad band) and now I tried ProxyCap v2.0, and believe me its the best tool available. I m getting 10 kbps.

BTW, because Kazaa/KL++ reports your LOCAL ip in its forwarding information, a proxy may not be hiding you as well as you think...

This is the problem for firewalled/router users who are port forwarding the ip port KL++ uses -- they STILL are reported as being on their local LAN ip (ie: 192.168.x.x) INSTEAD of giving out their internet WAN ip in searches!

How to use ProxyCap ?
First of all remove all firewall settings from Kazaa Options and follow the steps:

1. Right click icon in the task bar and select preferences.
2. Select type of proxy and enter the IP and port.
3. Go to rules. Select 'New' in 'Edit tunneling rules'
4. Select Tunnel Through proxy and type of proxy.
5. Specify the application, which you want to use with ProxyCap. (For KazaaLite
select klrun.exe from Programfiles)

And thats all.....you dont need to put any firewall setting in Kazaa Options.

Try it and post the reply.....

This program acts strangely on my computer, with the early version it worked sometimes and now the new version wont work it's seems kazaa or any other program just bypasses it, also everytime it starts up with windows it says the network configuration is out of date and it has to be re-installed.

Anyone tried kazaahttp http://www.iprisma.com it's suppose to tunnel though http proxys but usally it requires proxys that support ssl.

the one u recommended is just trial version for 20 days , ie kazaahttp on iprisma.com, is there any crck available.. now http tunnel has done 1 more thing till now older versions were workin now there seems to be problem they've blocked them now tooo

@fmh002-does that dkboost program work with kazaa lite and regular kazaa or just dietkazaa? The reason I ask is because I rarely use Kazaa, so I have regular kazaa2.11 plus the dope wars update(cydoor neutering) from cexx.org. I was looking for a program the would rewrite the headers on p2p apps but this dkboost is the first i found so I'm curious. :ph34r:

yes it does work with kazaa lite k++. all you have to do is choose a port number and press the "setup" kazaa button. the setting will make the proxy change in the firewall tab.

this program has worked for me. though many claim it brought problems for them.

i've installed the DK firewall and is not supporting the http proxy. So i suppose that it only convetrs the packets in form of http requests but it does not asks for http proxy.

dk firewall booster acts like your proxy server, a local proxy server.

that's why you don't need any other proxy tunneling ip to connect to.

all u do is configure a port for it and run. simple

i've also tried the kazaahttp its also not working as i suppose that the port transher which it uses is also is very similar(1090) to that of kazaa(1080) so it may work in some firewall. But here its not working i've tried using other ports also its not working. Do u have any suggestion on particular port to be used.

i had a problem once when i changed my port number.

i would not see active connections on dk f booster.

what i did was re-enter a new port, press stop and go, setup kazaa button again and exit kazaa lite k++ in order for it to function again. did that several times and i even changed my supernode using kazupernodes. got it to function.

I have a cable connection...internet..it's based on time slot...I can acess it only between 11pm to 7 am.To go online i,ve to authenticate using an app provided by my ISP..During day time and without any authentication http works just fine ie. i can browse the net download files...I can also use yahoo messanger with the setting firewall with no proxies...but P2P doesnot work...neither https..I have tried HTTP Tunnel p2p and https both works over that but very slow..

what do u think ...Is it a firewall that decides my time slot...Proxy or what....?....I just know the ip address of the server I authenticate into and nothin else....

Ie works without any proxy settings...I am not provided with any port or ip of a proxy server ... How can i find ...what is blocking me....

The ISP program just verifies my pasword and done...everything works... without that only http works...

Proxycap wants a ip adreess and port to work i dun know that...So can't make it work

I'll be thankful if I get some answers..

can any1 tell me if i need http tunnelling .
i login into a server in my network and then access internet(vry similar to amit). my klite is workingbut it is slow. my is not blocking any web address as far as i can tall. can using the softwares in this topic help?

Dk Firewall boaster says that its downloading at 10kb/s but kazaa says its only download at 4kb/s.

yeh i tryed it, i have 56k.

And there is not much change in download speed maybe like .50kb/s

but noting worth the time settin up the proxycap.

Hi guys!

Im a bit confused on whether to go with ProxyCap 2.0 or DK Firewall Booster.

Im on a LAN which provides download speeds upto 12.8kb/sec's max.

Wish to tweak my Kazaa Lite ++ so that it pulls in maximum bandwidth. My ISP is running a Firewall on the main Router due to which some ports have been blocked. I also cannot even use eMule because of this...


So could some suggest ???
