i am trying to connect to irc.p2p-network.net from mirc and i keep getting "Unable to connect to server (connection refused)"
i think ive fixed this before but i dont remember how. any ideas?
Make sure you're using the right port (it's 6667 for non-SSL connections). Otherwise, your IP may be banned, but I think in that case the message is different.

it is on port 6667. ive tried 6666-6669. ive tried other clients as well. i have a static ip but i dont think that would make a difference.

Try that
irc.p2p-net.eu (6667)

Try that
irc.p2p-net.eu (6667)
Those are two different IRC networks.
I occasionally get this error, I find it works after a few reconnect attempts as long as you're sure the port is right.
