Just wondering if any off the fellow FSTers rent any 1Gbps EG range servers from OVH?

if so have you notice any dramatic upload speed decreases with in the last month to a crawl?

if you have been affected which data centre are you located in??....
If you have not been affected which data centre are you located in?...
P19, RBX1, RBX2 or RBX3 and possibly which Segment.
and finally are you on the .com service or .net??

i'm just trying to figure out whether this is a wide spread situation or localised to a few segments of the data centres. 'cause some people are fine guys with 100Mbps kimsufi's are out doing the 1Gbps EG best of servers

I have 12 EG best of spread through RBX1 and 2 (the other two really aren't separate DC btw), different racks and all that.

None of them are out performed by 100Mbps Kimsufi, probably the people having seen that just configured it wrong... Sure, the EG upload often will be only 200Mbit external, but on sites like SCC, Gbit does waaaaay better.

So to help you:
1. Some of the guys EG were badly configured or not used properly, that why the 100Mbps performed similar
2. There are routing issues every now and then, this last few weeks have been a few problems
3. Upload speed to USA and Asia etc is slow because OVH have lack of peering, but that has been a problem for 6 months.

no my problem is internal as well as external i'm in the uk ftp speed i can max...

problems are i'm just not cutting it on any tracker esp SCC :(

my setup:-
ubuntu 8.04 64bit (EXT3 filing system)
Raid 0
fluxox
wine 1.1.41
utorrent tried all versions. :frusty:

Have a kimsufi box myself on a 100mbit connection, quite happy with it so far. How do you know which datacenter your box is in ??

Ive got an egbestof, from france tho, speeds have been great, been uploading about 3TB a day...

can I buy ovh's product in China plz?

Mine is bought direct and will be returning it later this afternoon, its an egbestof from ovh.com/fr, which is a 1Gbps unmetered.

if you want to take over the lease I can pass it on to you, and since its a renewal, there will be no setup costs. and you get ovh manager too...

pm me for more details..

but you need to be quick because its due by the end of the day, fr local time, which is in about 10hrs...
