I have 56k :( :( and i use kazaa lite of course and i download some movies so i have to WAIT a long time.

It usually takes me 26 hours to download a 700mb movie if its going at least 5kb per second.

HOw fast does it go for other connections like dsl, cable t1, and t3 and so on......

something up with my cable. it's not supposed to be this fast, but i get 2.4mb/s surf and 500kb/s dl speed. and this is just regular comcast cable. anyways, on klite, a movie with decent # of sources takes about 1.5 hrs... at 250kb/s... but most of the time it's 1hr, cuz it goes up to 300 a lot

it also depends on the person you are d/l from so even if you have a faster connection it still could take a long time if they have a slow connection or if they are limiting their upload speed. and stuff like that

i always get full speed on bittorrent 150kB/s so 700MB would take about (1024KB/150KB/s=6.83 seconds*700=4779seconds=80 mins or 1 hour and 20 mins)

I'm on a 512kb/s cable connection and if i'm downloading off someone good i usually get speeds of 90 - 100 kb/s - about 2 hours

If you want to speed your downloads up you could change the setting in the firewall from whatever it is to 32656 as shown here --- I know the number in the picture ids wrong it is 32656

Holy cow!!! you are a bunch of lucky people! :D

It takes me about 2-3 days on my measly 4k connection :(

It's India actually, any speed above 10k is considered luxury and expensive :(

it takes me about 6 - 8 hours on a 256 adsl connection.

But im lucky that i dont have a 3mb connection if i would need only about 2 hours for a movie i would download way to much.

Oh, and weejack, we have the same connection, don't bother changing ports etc, they have no affect on incoming speeds

Once and for all

Stop giving pointless advice. How is changing your port going to speed up your incoming?

700mb... counting in the time I am offline I would mostly say a week or so. counting only active time, ahh 40h+. I never get any speeds at all on kazaa, getting over 10 kb/s is good, even though max is somehwere around 30 times that, if I am lucky I see the max speed once a year ;)

Actually you may very well have a 3MB connection. Comcast is planing
/ working on upgrading everyone to 3MB down. Same crappy upload
speed though...

When using KL? God knows.

When using Shareaza, via BitTorrent/eD2K, around 2 hours. Using DDL, under an hour.

where do you download from o_O

EDIT: A bit over an hour at home makes sense to me all depending on connections. I'll max out on BT at around 450kbs sometimes though..that gives quick DLs :D
