well, supposedly this is gonna be the last RE film before it's rebooted. even if this sucks i'm gonna watch it. i like me sum RE movies. movie seems to be going crazy 3D in this which is a bummer for me, but they've stated that 2D will be available. i just hope the conversion isn't terribad.

I've liked the others, so I definitely want to see this. Could not care less about the 3D, either.

I desperately wanted to like the others, so I see this against all better judgment. Could not care less about the poor attempt at cashing in on 3D, either.

Ditto.

Wow, this is good stuff, thx for posting. Love RE, watching it over and over again. IMO the second movie was the best, but all so far are a real treat to watch. Somehow MJ is wickedly great in all these RE movies.

new trailer.

1. i hope there's a 2D version.
2. i hope the 2D version doesn't diminish too much in quality from it's 3D counterpart.

well, i thought the whole movie was pretty damn boring. the huge hammer dude was kinda cool and that was about it. i haven't read if they are still gonna reboot this or not, but i don't see a reason to do so. also, milla gets cuter as she gets older. i could handle some more of her. there wasn't much of zombies or anything else in here really. the T-Virus barely even made a showing. lol, i hope the next movie will put some more thought into the franchise before just releasing shotguns and milla. not worth the theatre by any means. i'd just wait for the r5. quarters, lemmings and silly 3D. 4/10

How is it compared to prequels?

after seeing this, the part at the end seems like they set up for the next movie, so I doubt it will get a reboot....but I gotta admit this movie in 3d was better than clash of the titans and last airbender in 3d..

I'm a huge fan of RE movies and couldn't wait to see this one but I must agree with mr. nails that it was really boring. No action that you really get into and it doesn't explain anything new that we never seen before (like the huge guy with the hammer and the peel off faced zombies). Milla is still the best killer chick tho and she's the main reason to see this one. She has a little bit too much clothes on but she still looks great.

3D is ok but I felt ripped off paying 13$ for it. It doesn't really add anything to the (already boring) experience.

Since they got nice box office results (without much competition tho) I guess they'll probably release Resident Evil: Mars Invasion some time in the future and I'll surely go out and see it anyway :D

Presently it gets people into seats that otherwise might not be there so fait accompli.

Yup, you're probably right. Personally, until they come up with a glasses-free 3D, I'll stick with my plain ole 2D movies.

Looks like a b-movie, not worth seeing in cinema
Escape from New York, (the original) Halloween ( not to mention the original NoES ),Enter the Dragon and The Evil Dead series are all b-movies.
B (low budget) doesn't necessarily entail bad any more than being big budget (Waterworld,Howard the Duck,Poseidon) defines good .

Btw not that you are interested but B in the movie sense means basically the same thing as B in the record sense does.
Not that there are records or double bills any more.:dabs:

As for Afterlife haven't seen anything of it but the reviews but just like the videogames that birthed it the further it/they get away from the core experience of haunted house/shuffling zombies scenario pretty much the worse they are going to get.Sort of life let's do a Star Trek with the Enterprise

Not to mention its Rotten Tomatoes rating (http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/resident_evil_afterlife/)... at 21%!

Still on average with the ratings of the other three though.

Three , four if you include the animated one.(Resident Evil,RE Apocalypse,RE Extinction,RE Afterlife with the animated one being called RE Degeneration ).
The first one was OK but after that with the focus increasingly on super Mila/Alice they progressively suck more with each outing.

Absolutely cr**!!! Seriously, the story writers totally failed to get the hang of the last three movies. Though the movies themselves don't have to be very logical, at least the Storyline has to be. This is the first RE movie that didn't make me think at the end: Oh gee, I really wanna know what's gonna happen next.

it's great movie
I'll bet neither of you could cite three things that were "great" in this drivel.
Fer crissake, it's 2010 and we're still supposed to be amazed by Matrix slo-mo bullet shots?
Or Blade style creature rip offs?
What happened to Luther (not that I particularly care but he was a semi-lead character and his plot should be resolved)?
Why does Umbrella Corp. need to lure uninfected for testing when it obviously has lots of test subjects already close at hand (the army of helicopters in the final scene)?

Is there a single iota of logic or consistency anywhere in this film?
