How can I determine which drive a partition is on?

I have 4 physical hard drives in my PC. Due to some partitioning I have done, I have 5 drives that show up in Windows.

From within Windows, how can I decipher which physical drive that each partition is on?

I am ready to install a new SSD with Windows and I need to know which hard drive currently contains Windows (the "C" drive) so that I can redo my partitions.

Do as anon-sbi says then press the grey box that says Disk 0 Disk 1 etc... right click then properties then you will see the names of each of the drives..samsung ,wdc, etc....

My Computer -> right-click -> Manage -> Disk Manager.

Was going to say the same, though I go there straight by running compmgmt.msc

Thanks, hotshot. I knew it had to be someplace. :)

You can get even faster by running diskmgmt.msc. :happy:
