View Full Version : Windows Xp Pro Or Media Center?

I am going to format my hard drive and reinstall eveything, I have windows xp pro and xp media center, I have never used media center before so I don't know what it is like. What one should I install??? I have a P4 2.4GHz 512mb.

xp pro, corp edition, so u dont have any hassle, dont instal media centre, its meant for use as a tv basialy and also a vid recorder, as far as i hear its a peice of cack

I couldnt agree more :D definately xp corp, no activation and you can change ya hardware as much as you darn well please without it asking to "re-activate" which is a pain in the arse if you got a non-legit copy ;)

i got a legit oem home version of xp, but i aint using it the now coz i couldnt find the cd when i was doing a reinstall so i got xp corp with sp1 int.

yeh thats the 1 i got, i did originally have my mates xp pro on mine....i knew all his details so it was no prob activatin over the fone ;) corp is sooooo much easier....ive installed it on at least 15 of my mates pc's, each with there own key thanks to the nifty little keygen by the bluelist "XPkey", so not to draw attention to an individual key by microsoft like the infamous devils own. its only a difference of 11 files in the i386 folder between pro and corp that make it activate, and what a difference it is! cheers Mr Gates :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

go to microsoft and check out the differences of the OS versions.
You'll get a good idea of which one is best for you.

Windows XP Pro and Windows XP Pro Corporate are identical except that the Corporate version does not have the activation program.
