Wmv To Avi Or Mpeg

Hello, i want to make a vcd using a file that is currently in .WMV format, Nero 6 ultra edition will not let me, is there any program that i can use to convert the .WMV to an avi or mpeg so i can burn it onto a vcd??

When running XP, you can use Microsoft Movie Maker version 2.

Use TMPGenc&#33; When selecting the WMV, you will need to browse for ALL (*.*) files. For some reason, they do not list WMV files, but it will work.

yep I second tmpgenc for all your converting needs, if you can&#39;t figer it out, grab a guide at dvdrhelp.com

TIP: When using TMPGenc, remember to look for the settings&#33; Some WMV files are "wide screen" or not standard sized (640x480). You&#39;ll need to "keep aspect Ratio", otherwise your final output might result in a crunched up image.

Also use the "BEST setting (but slower)".

As far as I know Movie Maker will only create .wmv files, not .avi or .mpg. I use EOvideo or TMPGenc to convert to those formats.
