Tip For Max Payne 2

If you can't get hold of an 800mb blank disc, then simply extract the BIN files with WinISO to your My Documents (or wherever you like) and from there onwards, create a data CD with your burning program and the filesize when extracted is only 697mb. It might seem relitavely simple, but that's what I did.

why, just use the cue, its a common problem, people don't understand file size/packet size/cd capacity
it will fit on a normal cdr

i used the cue and used nero, but it said it won't fit on a 700 mb cd. so i have to extract it? i'll c wat i can do. i don't need to do it any time soon, cuz i got 150 gb total capacity, and it's no where near full

if you have nero 6, that was a flaw in the early release, you need to get the update from nero

I just made a normal bin cue sheet and burnt the 820mb file on my 700mb disc although they said it's not enough...just proceed it works fine for me. And yehr, I'm using CDRWIN.

Try using BlindWrite, seems to work fine with oversize files.

Max Payne 2 DEVIANCE release:

CD1 image - 801.40 MB
CD2 image - 710.46 MB

Despite the filesizes, both these images will fit in a normal 700 MB CD without overburn.

Release groups just make images from the original CDs and add a crack to it.
Original CDs can&#39;t be sold in 800 MB Cds because some CD drives can&#39;t read them. So, every software title you download fits a 700 MB CD (unless someone screws around with the CD image and adds unnecessary files to it <_< ).

I got the same one, the one that needed the password the url, it had the crack and it fit, whats the problem?

they are completely different releases. deviance didn&#39;t have as many seeders, and it was missing some rars. so i went ahead and dled the one with the most seeders. its the uncut

bittorrentmovies is not a release group. They don&#39;t make the cracks for the games they release, like Deviance does.
You should always get the files that were originally released by a group, not repacks like that one from bittorrentmovies.

Max Payne 2, released by deviance, is also uncut (US version). Bittorrentmovies (german based) only states it&#39;s uncut, because the localized german version is censored.

For some reason I can never understand why people have trouble burning a CD image. What you should do is get a program that specializes in burning CD images. I would recommend using Alcohol 120%. It&#39;s easy to use, and it does more than burning images.

lol. How hard is it to download a program that specializes in CD image burning, and reading the readme file to undersand how the program works? I&#39;m only 14, and I can understand this shit inside and out.

Here is the best piece of advise I can give you,although it has already been said.Go back and download another version of the game.I downloaded the 1500 mb file (not sure who&#39;s release it was) and I burned it no problems,my software,which happens to be the first release of Nero 6 with no updates burned the images with no mention of overburn.

he got it off bittorrent, it couldn&#39;t have screwed up, and the fact that he installed it with mounting the images tells us he was able to un-RAR them with no problems

This is why this thread started in the first place.

People need to know that CD images DO NOT have the actual size that is going to be burnt/extracted.
CD images are supposed to be burnt as images, not data.

Get CDmage (http://cdmage.orcon.net.nz/frames.html) and open the file with it.
Look at the green bar at the top right corner and at the status bar below, where it says &#39;Total time&#39;.
