View Full Version : Cd Burning

I just got this computer, and I tried to burn a CD today, but it was all messed up. Like the first song was all right, but sounded scratchy, then the second was worse, and then none after that even worked. And I tried it like 4 more times and it didn't work. Could it be my CD-R drive? Or is it just the type of blank CDs I bought? Or is it something else?

I'm not sure I trust that your files are good....
Where did you get the mp3's or whatever from?
I've never heard of any burning software making mp3s screechy, I seriously doubt it's the application, though I suppose it's possible.

This has nothing to do with the topic... but Sparsely... get back to Soulseek... I need to finish those Negativland files from you so I can do my backup :) And, when you get back... hang out for a while an dl something from me..... maybe we'll have a coffee and reminisce about old times.

See ya

Oh... and for the guy who needs sofware to burn cds with... get easy cd creator.. or use nero one of the two.

Hey muchspl2,

What are you just a whore for Nero?

Everytime someone asks a cd burning question all you do is cluter the board with "Nero's the Best" "I only would use Nero" bla bla bla.

If you have some constructive pointers concerning the specific software in question we'd be glad to here your expertice on the topic.

Is more than likely the type of blank cd's that your using.

I had that problem too. However, considering the fact I have very high end computers with very good cd and dvd writers then that tells me it doesnt have anything to do with the computer or the drives.

I switched cd's and it solved the problem. Some of them are crap and you should just find a good quality brand and stick with it. Buy them in the bundles like 30 or 50 packs. :)

nero is one of the best quality and easy systems for burning, maybe thats why muchsl2 along with everybody else that knows what they are doing recommends ithttp://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/r/sgrin.gif

i like to second what shn says also some burners like their own kind of cd/dvds so find out which one your drive likes and use that one

name a better burning app?

I use nero 95% of the time as it does anything I want it too, the only reason I need other burning app, is because people rip with blind write and clone cd/cloneycd

I find most people who don't use nero is because their too stupid to figure it out, cause they have been on the roxio tit for too long and OPTIONS frighten and confuse them.
