Err.. I don't understand this term.. This maybe a n00b question, but what does "Time Alive" in description of a Torrent seeding/leeching in trackers' info mean?

Is it the time, this torrent had been alive on the tracker or is it the time, you have the access to it ?

I have a feeling that its the former one, but I still wanted to confirm.

And this forms the basis of my next question.. What is the time alloted for seeding? Can I seed for as much time as I like, in a tracker (provided that the torrent and/or tracker are not dead) ?

Well.. like whenever You're seeding a torrent and it appears in my "Currently Seeding", I click on it and torrent description opens. So, in the left side (normally), there's something like "Time Alive" - xxxx hours..

I have a feeling that's the amount of hours the torrent have been alive in the tracker.. but still want to confirm.

Well, if it's "time to live", that's the amount of time that has to pass since the torrent was uploaded to the tracker for it to be automatically deleted.

If it's "time alive", it's probably what you said.

Its time to live and set by tracker, lets say newer torrent is set with default of 1000h TTL, after 1000h torrent get deleted if theres no seeder/leecher.

If the FAQ/rules don't say anything, then probably as much as you want.
