Bye Thomas

There are simple steps you can take to avoid getting viruses, just like in the real world, wrap up warm and always wash your hands.. :D

That is your fault if u would have had a updated AV (which u can download off the net so there is no excuse) and If u didn't get infected and u do have a updated AV then u should be happy that they are not on your comp and continue downloading.

A good idea is to look on a website like Amazon, and find out the length of the songs before you try downloading them, so then you know they're the right ones for that album, or check filesize.

like someone says before in one of these posts:

it takes street smarts, and experience...obviously you ain't got it. i've been dling since the start/fall of napster...haven't had a virus yet. music files, i only want 128kps quality...3min songs are roughly a little over 3megs. if you're unsure of a file, especially program files since you really have to do some research to see how big the actual file should be. run a virus scan before opening. it's only common sense.

Personally i would like to welcome this newcomer first.
Then i would like to say, welcome to the real world of filesharing. Its not as easy as most people seem to think and unfortunately you have become a victim.

Before you condemn the world of FS, please take time to read some FAQ on how to elliminate these types of problems and if you are unsure, then please ask here first - im sure most people would be willing to help.

Trashing something that you probably have only just started using is not a good way to win friends and influence people - but there again -we were all n00bs at one time or another and you are excused ;)

Dont be put off :D

Peace

Welcome. On the other hand. Take responsibility for your own computing experience.
