your question makes no sense, and if you can download with your firewall on, it means you have given it right to access the Internet, are like you say "put outside my firewall"

OK fair enough, i can upload and download. I admit im not really sure what im talking about, i only just got a router.
But there is the option to open specific ports in the routers firewall for specific programs. this is what i meant by outside the firewall
