un cours d'automobile = a driving lesson

le directeur de la seceretariat = registry office director

secrétariat is the correct spelling.

This is strange, it doesn't sound like original french sentences. They must have been traduced in french with systran or something. Even the grammar in the second one is false.

un=a

d'=de=of

cours= lesson

automobile=car

Le=the (masculine)

directeur=Manager

la= The (feminine)

secretariat= secretariat.
