for broad general reading

I truly enjoy http://ebooksshares.org The search capabilities could be better, and the layout is a bit strange, but it is one of my all-time favorite sites. Spend some time there and browse the categories that interest you.

I always find tons of really good culinary-related books there. Enjoy!

I agree.. the categories were always well defined and separated. The time I joined it, I'd been interested in learning foreign languages (didn't know of rosetta stone, then) and I found quite a lot of ebooks on it. :)
