I am looking to get into an HD tracker. I understand that HDBits is the grand-daddy of them all but is nearly impossible to get in to. What are some more viable options for getting into a tracker? I am in some great private sites now but am looking for a way to get into some HD sites. Demonoid's selection just isn't enough. :D

HD-Torrents.org and HD-Bits.ro would make a good start.

yeah but are we talking about HD TV releases or just movies? I'm clueless since all of those are private and I have no idea what kind of content they have on any of them, I read somewhere that Bitme TV was a good place for HD tv torrents, but yeah didn't no about worthwhile places to seek that's not near impossible for n00bs to get in.

If you need an invite for PTM send me a PM with a ratio proof of BMTV and speedtest ;)

Newsgroups are the best choice for any of your HD needs, you will never complain about speed or lack of seeders :)

Maybe try this :):

Background:

IPv6 is the protocol of the future and many usenet hosts are offering their service FREE if you use IPv6.

We're simply going to download an app that converts (tunnels) your IPv4 old and busted to IPv6 new hotness.

What you need:

IPv6 tunnel: http://www.go6.net/
Sign up and they will send you a private account with your username and password. Download the latest version of the Gateway6 client.

IPv6 compatible usenet client: http://www.sabnzbd.org/
SABnzbd is pretty much the greatest thing since sliced bread. It's interface is completely web driven, so you can queue things on your computer from anywhere. It auto unrars / par fixes, sorts download by category and deletes unused files (for example, your rars after extracting)

IPv6 usenet server: http://www.xsnews.com/ipv6/ipv6_aanvraag.php
xsnews offers free uncapped ipv6 access. I get ~14 mbits (about 2.3 megs / sec) on my home connection. No download limits, 10 connections.
Put in your email address and they instantly send you private account and connection information.

Guide:

1. Install Gateway6.

2 (OPTIONAL BUT RECOMMENDED). Go to control pannel -> network connections (on Vista, go to Networking, and on the left bar pick manage network connections)

You should have a new connection added, usualy will be called Local Internet Connection 2 or something similar. Rename it to IPv6 via rightclick just to keep track of it easier.

3. Start up Gateway6 and put in the Gateway 6 server info your recieved in your email. They will give you the server name too.

http://img131.imageshack.us/img131/7107/connectdr0.jpg

4. Click connect and give it a few seconds. The first connection takes some time.

Once you're connected, go to http://ipv6.google.com/. If you can load this page, you're ready! If not, go to troubleshooting.

5. Install SABnzbd and fire it up. Go to the configuration tab and click servers. Add the free xsnews server from above. Make sure to sent number of connections to 10.

You're done!

Hit up your favorite indexing site to find the nzb for anything you like, feed the url of the nzb (or download it, if you want the extra step) to SABnzbdand you've got 2 meg / sec download speeds!

Troubleshooting

If you're on anything but Vista, sometimes you might have to enable internet connection sharing (ICS) for the network connection which provides your web connection. For example, if it's your wireless card that connections to your router, enable ICS for that wireless connection. You can google that shit its pretty easy to do. (hint: rightclick the connection, go to properties, sharing tab and checkbox everything).

Gateway6 doesn't work on Windows 7 - you need to find another IPv6 tunnel client. There are tons out there, just google it.
