The limit used to be 10GB a day, but was accumulated up to 50GB... but it seems it has changed. Their site is not clear and pretty confusing since their introduction of rapidpoints. By the looks of things I have to purchase more bandwith if I want to use more than their daily limits.

But is there any information around on how much those limits are, and when they are reimbursed? I've tried the FAQ/ news section on their site as well as Google to no avail.

If anyone can shed some light it'd be much appreciated.

5GB to a max. of 25GB

Furthermore, RapidShare offers its premium users the opportunity of downloading without a waiting period and at a maximum speed a data volume of 5 gigabytes (“Download-Traffic”) on a calendar day basis. RapidShare will increase each premium users’ Download-Traffic by 5 gigabytes per calendar day, regardless of a user’s consumption of Download-Traffic. The total amount of Download-Traffic cannot exceed 25 gigabytes per calendar day

Thanks P2P dog... It's unlikely that I'd ever exceed this limit but if I did would I be able to just purchase a second account and download without being done because my IP is accessing two accounts?

A premium account enables you to download 5.00 Gigabyte per day, that’s 5.000.000.000 byte. The volume not used is automatically transferred to the following day, up to a maximum of 25 gigabyte. If the complete download capacity is used up during one day, the premium-user is able to save another 5.00 gigabyte the following day.

don't buy a second acct. Use happy hours instead 2-10 CET. Only 10% of traffic is counted in this period.

I guess this is 2am-10am Central European Time? And therefore means 1GB download only knocks 100mb off my download quota?

So, their theoretical limit is 5Gb x 30 days = 150Gb/month , plus happy hours ?

I like the way rapidshare is going. It's good that we can still keep our accounts and renew contracts at the time when we need it most.
