There's been a lot of drama with uTP and its supposed favoritism. Personally, I see no reason not to update to 2.x, although some people have complained about severe speed reductions when using that branch.

If you think 1.6.1 is too old by now, try 1.8.5.

i would think that for a n00b that has been a member for around a week that you should spend your time reading and learning and keep your smart arse infintile comments to your self now go back sit in the corner and be a good little boy.
