I've been doing it since I was 12. The answer is YES. It will prevent it.

When the well is dry, it is dry.

Of course you need to do it 3 or more times a day. And before you go on a date, when you get older than 13. It makes you think like a girl and your girl will think you care about other things that she is interested in.
