It's only sick if you've been personally effected by it.
In the same vein, fireworks are used in Belfast to celebrate Halloween.
Already, four children have been mutilated this Halloween as a result of modified fireworks. These were sectarian attacks. Sick indeed.

so if someone is brutally murdered and your not affected by it, by your reckoning its not sick?

Spider_Dude, please don't assume my syntax.
I mentioned "effected" not "affected".

you can still be affected in the same way as being effected. i didn't assume anything, i read your post. i was simply giving another example.

I really expect this to be on the debate whether or not to remove fireworks from northern ireland (they where not allowed for years for amongst others two reasons, the noise is similar to gun fire and can be used as an obvious diverision, it also isn't to hard to make a bomb from them)

The term trick or treat was also mention by gunman just before the opened fire in bar in the more than memorable past and similarity hear could be extremely offence to others

I do follow the majority of readers comments and chalice i do think this is bad taste and not up to your usual high standard

I only sought to juxtapose fireworks by fireworks. This is where I live. Am I not permitted to express an affected, emotive opinion?

People are over sensative today for some reason  I guess, but I dunno, never been to ireland. :)

BHK, I dare say we're similar in outlook.
Yet, how many of us have been bombarded to ther point of desensitvity with what I've just posted?
Granted, this board is fun. However it is also a far-reaching globe-shrinking tool. I'm sorry if people are offended, affected or effected by this thread but I rarely create one without reason.

(Controversy at last. Arrowmen, my breast is thine).

And who knows whether it is true or not? ;)

Bombing aint my style, besides irish people are nice, very pleasant always nice to have a conversation with them.

Besides do you think a 54 year old has the strength to plant a bomb and run for it?

That's the problem with you idealists, no backbone.
Display your guts for Irish freedom, you freedom fighter, you.
Btw, how much do you charge for land-mines?

noname12
11-01-2003, 02:02 AM
 You fight for freedom in your own ways, Ireland isnt what I am aiming for

Proximity mines - £150

Land mines - £40

Scud Missle - £2000 if with toxin upgrade £4500.

@ chalice.........I would not dare suggest that I have the remotest idea what it must be like living under the ever-present darkness of potentially deadly conflict, so, as I listen to the constant bombardment of Roman Candles and the sounds of fire & police vehicles being dispatched to tend to minor injuries, I'll say that I'm thankful that I don't associate these sounds ( as loud and worrisome as they may be ) with any kind of bona fide danger. My empathy in regards to your situation however, is quite real.

Ach, its alright really. The kids are sleeping safely un-devoured.
Roll on November 26th. Then the pyrotechnics can begin anew. :)
