Is sharereactor another p2p program like kazaa or shareaza?
I went to sharereactor.com but can't find the place where I can download the program.
I like bittorent and IRC,but they are so slow to me compared to kazaa or shareaza.

Wouldn't mind giving sharereactor a go!

thats a emule site, means you need emule or edonkey installed

but its unbelievable to me that you get slow speeds on bittorrent or irc
I always max out my connection on both, sound like your firewalled or behind a router and have not configured correctly

I know!Your not the first one to tell me that.
I wish I could get fast speed bittorent but it's just impossible.
I tried it a lot of times.

Do you have any suggestions on how speed bittorent up?

http://home.elp.rr.com/tur/download.html as a client
if its stay's yellow, then your not configured like I said
read this http://userpages.umbc.edu/~hamilton/btclientconfig.html to open up ports on your router and kill the xp firewall, if thats your OS
get a proper firewall like zonealarm or zygate

It stays yellow and goes very slow.
I downloaded zonealarm pro.
Maybe I could use that to set up my firewall for bittorent to go faster.
Does windows xp have a default firewall?
And if so do you know how I can get to it to configure it?

All the links on the sharereactor site can be used with shareaza, it will then attempt to download the file on the networks you have active, it will activate the edonkey connection automaticaly but this can be turned off, i do this as i find i get better sources of the gnutella2 network if edonkey is turned off.

Though wouldn't you get more sources from eDonkey since ShareReactor is based off that network. Every file I ever got there only had eDonkey sources, not one from G2 yet...

Not all files but i find that if i turn off edonkey, i can get actual sources on G2 instead of waiting in queues in edonkey, i dont know maybe it's because i'm on 56k and the sheer number of edonkey connections pushes g2 connections off.

Interesting, I'll have to try next, after all nobody likes eDonkey Q, though I am on bb anyway.

That firewall will make it go slower but to set up win xp firewall just go into your control panel>Network Connections right clik on the one u use then hit properties>advanced. And tick the first box.
